We are proud to announce the second Charas Resource Contest!
The first was a success, to be the first. If you're interested in it, you can find results and rules here.
Now, again, a brief description of this stuff, taken from the first contest announcement.
The main news are:
also faceset resources are this time in!
the judgement system.
It is a free and open competition, similar to other contests abbut RPGMaker2K
The only difference is that here the target is not a game, a screen or a charaset: the target are base resources.
I strongly encourage partecipation on this contest to anyone, experts and newbies: creating resources is also a good way to learn something new about graphics (in general, not only for Charas) having fun too!
And a competition like this is mainly for learn&fun: i really hope this will put in contact who'd like to learn with who can teach, and generally everyone of us have something to say (or ask) in both directions.
There are no restrictions on subjects, ideas and so on.
Also, there's no need to keep "secret" you resources: if you want you can share that resource for inclusion in Charas too, you can also choose to partecipate with something already uploaded.
We only need to know it is yours.
Refer to the documentation and to the Forum to know every secret you need to create whatever you like!
Charas is really powerful if used with some tricks (for example, read in the documentation about the "almost white" tip!)
Well, i think that's all. Now....
Total freedom is fun and good, but this is a contest! So... rules time! ;)
There will be a double judgement system, this time.
As usual, there will be users of Charas on one side.
This group will perform a judgement as it was for the first contest.
But, on the other hand... we'll have an "external judgement commission"!
Let's explain: in Charas affiliates there is a site, called "RPG School". That site is a sort of RPGMaker online school, with a Forum divided into classrooms and also with final exams.
And this, for every part of RPGMaking (chara, music, maps, etc...).
The only thing is that site and lessons are now only in Italian. But RPG School admins would like to expand that, to become more international.
The main idea, is to translate their lessons in other languages and let users asks if something sounds "obscure", just as they're doing with italian users right now.
And probably, this will become a very useful affiliation with Charas too (c'mon, we're the most international site of te whole RPG network!!!).
So, we was thinking on how to introduce RPG School to Charas users.
RPG School is a learning site, also with exames? Well! So i asked them to be "external examinators" here!!!
So, at the end:
First block (Alex, Gary Kertopermono, Cosmo and SMB, from Charas)
