Post by: Trevlac on June 23, 2005, 05:25:22 PM: I was not able to finish 9 or 10 (I refuse to play 10-2) but 10's graphics were good. I did not like its story, just like I hated 8's story. Nine, was...akward. I did not finish it because I was a bit taken aback at how odd it was. Seven was good. I liked the story but the graphics...oh my god, you may as well piss on your T.V. screen. I absolutely despised all of the 1-6 (yes I played 2) but 5 was okay as far as the job system went. That's all my opinion of course. Let us please not even discuss Mystic Quest. All copies of that game should be burned. Ritualisticly.

Anyway, I didn't have any expectations for the game, so when I played it, I thought it was a good game. Then I played through all the other ones, there were some good, some bad (mainly good in my opinon though :))

I think FFXII will be a good game, at least better than FFX. I liked the little I saw of the battle system, and The trailer showed a bunch of war scenes which are always good :)

I wasn't looking forward to XI nor to XII...I don't know why but it seems that FF lost it's essence...

I mean, did FF11 even go anywhere? I haven't ANYTHING about it since it came out. So I think FF12 will prolly end up being another let down. I'll hope for the best, but won't be expecting it.

In my opinion, Square Enix (Or is it Sony? Don't know, don't care.) needs a new game series. A new and original game series that fits the era we're in and is more about the story, music, and gameplay, compared to GFX and action scenes. That is the key to the succes of future RPGs. I see too much cliche in these new high-tech RPGs. And I'm just waiting.

It's only really enjoyable if you're playing it with someone else though, otherwise I really don't see myself playing it much.

I'd have to say that I like IIIj, VI, VII, IX and Tactics the best. I have nothing against VIII, though haven't played too far in.

What they need to do is get a good addition to the Tactics series, I wasn't too pleased with FFTAdvance. The vibes from both were just way too differant..

Allen hasn't looked much into XII, and I haven't heard much either.. Might rent it.. don't plan on buying it.

I hope that SE learned from X and X-2, and they are making XII better. Because if they don't...

Personally, I like the Tales and Star Ocean series' over FF.
