First, this has nothing to do with insane rabbits.Im sorry
So Theres part of my intro cutscene...wich Im desperatly trying to finish, and Im a bit stumped...
Ive got a map made....Ill enclose a screenshot
The map is of a road...the background is transparent....
The Map has a road....in wich a little car is supposed to drive along......
Horizontally....this is a horizontally scrolling screen.
the car drives horizontally along the road....got it?
Im tryinf to make it so that the map is whizzing by....whilst the car stays in a stationary position.....giving the effect of a camera scrolling along with the car, as trees whiz past....and a conversation appears in the message boxes....
Now The messages I have no problem with....nor the nearly staionary car (I would Ideally have it inching along slowly to the right, making it seem to progress along the road as the dialogue unfolds.)
Is there any way for me to animate my chipset/map, so it whizzes by, scrolling along?
Or am I going to have to programm some tree events, and have them lamely move past as the road and grass are stationary, making it lame.....
Also, I would want to have a scrolling picture along the foreground, scrolling very quickly......giving a speed/depth to the whole thing?
Is this possible? Anybody? Help?

Im getting it....Sortof...
So Ive got my Map....And my Car event....And an Invisible hero..
The Map is set to a horizontal scroll....
The Car event has commands that make the hero, and the car, move to the right....at the same speed....so the camera is focused on the car.
It moves along verrryy buggy....choppy....
And for some reason, when the car gets to the end of the map, the scrolling dosent happen....iut drives off of the edge of the screen....and is gone......no repeating map loop....WTF am I doing wrong?

How about for that scene your hero or whoever is the car and you just move the hero? That way it'll move smoother and you won't have to mess with two events.
-
Use pictures.
-
Dur, use a paranorma. You need the paranorma to loop also.
-
Wavedude that was just stupid...
And yes i guess that using panoramas and pictures should do the work...

Oh you're just filled with cream and butter, my little wavey-pastry!
Anyway, Gemini, DON'T use a picture. It'll end up overlapping bushes in the foreground, unless your bushes are pictures too. To keep it simple, make a charset of your main character in a car. Use a special template to make it though; the one I got attached:
