THE GAME DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN EATED BY A BUG. WILL RETURN

I was hoping for an ABS, but this works.

i guess there is sort of an abs elemtent. Aside from the world map, there are no random encounters.
Enemy sprites charge you on screen and on touch you battle. This is for stealthz

and if you need any help with monster graphics or even battle animations I'm sure I could whip up something, It doesn't look too hard :D

a roguelike system would probably work better for this game
it looks kinda cool tho, some stuff is resized poorly which you should fix asap

Well, potions didn't work on the party... Had some hard times getting through the demo.
And the goblin event in the forest bugged twice for me when I moved.
Oh yeah, it says that the mysterious key costs 25 but it actually costs 75.
I love it badly otherwise. Some catchier tunes perhaps.
Edit: Was that intro supposed to be in the demo? 'Cuz the party starting position was at the world map.

Need to find better music still. this was just a very bare bones demo, to give a feel of the graphics

Castle of the Winds (http://lkbm.ecritters.biz/cotw/download.html). That's the perfect example of a roguelike... I think. I dunno, it's the only roguelike I ever played. Play it alittle and you'll get what a roguelike is.
Easier to be 'experienced' than explained and all those lazy excuses xD

EDIT: Nice! I like its even-older-than-NES style. I can see now why you need that kind of music and sound effects. Well, I'm always here. PM me if you want something specific.

I can explain rougelikes perfectly; I've played several:
Basically, a rougelike is where you are a solo hero. Most of the time, you get to design what kind of hero you want, a la table top RPG, but only one character. Anyways, most rougelikes take place with you starting right out in a dungeon with a set of presupplied equipment. Castle of the Winds has you start in a town, but it doesn't really offer any big services or help or that much.
Roguelikes are sorta like action RPG's, except they're largely turnbased in most cases. Each move you take requires a turn, and you attack enemies by bumping into them, or using some button to shoot them with magic or bows and stuff. Another feature was that most roguelikes offered randomly generated dungeons, with random monsters, loot, and traps. Personally, I'd think that a rougelike would be difficult to accomplish in RM2k3, but if you got the skills, then I'm sure it could be possible.

It does sound sweet, but if i implement something like that, then it wouldnt be until After I have the rest of the game systems working. Its something to think about i guess

Monster sprites / Images.

And remember, the less detailed the better

I never was good at finding sound effects, but NPC faces and monster sprites are mine. If someone tries to steal them, kill them. If someone so much as has a face near you, kill them.
Unless I throw my computer out a window because I suck at making undetailed face sets.
Any specific style or can I stick with the style I'm good at?

Panoramas, Battle backgrounds...you name it, Ill find a use for it...

Glad you liked them cause I might make more later. Anyway I updated them a little. Changed the slime sidewalk animation and made some small changes to the devils walking animations.
Edit: Forget the attachment (had forgotten a pixel on the devil that just made him look strange). Use this instead.

Okay dude. The graphics and text and ideas are amazing. However:
Some of the town teleports teleport you to the wrong places
You can't use potions
you can't save in towns like it says you can. I can't seem to find anywhere I can save >.>
You can't stay at the inn
A lot of your charsets aren't 'fixed graphic' so they change when you speak to them
All the other faults just add charm, but I kinda need to save XD
EDIT: By the looks of things you know about most of these

MT11, those bugs are all fixed. Ive added new stuff. A FPS style mini game...
I just have to finish the dungeon tower thing, and a boss for it, and then Ill be releasing a new. way-less-buggy version of this, with more stuff...
Saving still isnt fixed but Ill get to it....

PLEASE READ FIRST POST REGARDING TESTERS
Known bugs:
I need to fix a teleport event or two in the towns. nothing major
the shooting minigame seems to have some event overlapping bugs and score counting glitches (especially when played more then once)
not so much a bug, but there is no means to revive fallen players yet. Im getting to it, I promise
Prplmage turns into a brown shitty looking douche when he joins your party. I just havent made his b-set yet
I still have yet to fix the inns
theres a green glitch in the archery/training room of the castle....it gives you something i forget what i think EXP
TIPS:
Save your HP containers for after training. When your HP hits a certain point, the dude wont train you anymore. Eventually there will be trainers in every town, but for now, theres just the starter level one
Buy lots of potions

Had a little free time since the classes for IoH is done. Decided to cook up a monster for your game. I call it the "Meat Reaver" lol
Took me about 15 minutes to make or so.

Looks to good. It's not pixelized enough to fit into the graphics from my point of view.

Theres a resource missing. I got to the door on the top of the tower, saw the little cutscene (somethin about killing the mage if he got in the way) and it said "THe file SIMPSONS is missing"

It wont run unless you download the "with rtp" verson then. dammit
I was using a blank charset by that name.
If you were to implant one of those, it would probably work
