Hiya everyone! Oi here. I don't know if I should make this a greetings topic or a leaving topic (*cough* I don't know if I'll be back on any time soon XD) (By the way, I tried to register another account because I couldn't figure out this one's password. I figured it out like 2 minutes afterwards. Sorry! I don't know the password to my email account to retrieve the password anyway.)

Oi is British. I'm almost certain of that. And it gets someone's attention, or can be used like "Oi! Stop that!" which is kinda still the attention thing but it can be used in that context when you already hold the persons attention.

I know the original skinhead movement really was in Britain if memory serves, so I'd believe it to be british.
