No drama or horror or suspense.
Go.
-
That basically leaves comedy and action.
Well, you said no suspense so Pontypool is out...
Not sure if Trollhunter counts for horror, so I'll go with that.
Trollhunter.
It's exactly what it says on the tin.
Couple of Norwegian college kids keep trying to interview a "bear poacher", and end up getting caught up in crazy shenanigans.
It's a very fun movie.
It is a found footage movie, though, so if those aren't your cup of tea then don't watch it.
-
Never heard about "found footage"... what is that?
-
It's a framing device, wherein they try to pawn the movie off as being footage that's been discovered and then released.
The handheld camera movies, basically.
It's not very shaky, though, and it's edited very well.

Ah, like that Witch of Blair movie?

Ah, like that Witch of Blair movie?
Better example might be the first half of District 9.
But less explosions.

Cine major speaks out now:
Trollhunter is a visual specticle, but lacks story and character. the beauty of Cloverfield (which this movies is riding in on the tails of) is that we spent time with the characters before any of this monster stuff happened. With Trollhunter, I couldnt follow who was who for the entire film. There were people and trolls, that was it. The kids got NO development, the trollhunter got some.
I would have to reccomend Hanna and Attack the Block

But less explosions.
That's like saying the first part of the Bible but less God.
-
Black dynamite, old school movie that seems to be making fun of itself.
But I'm not big on this whole movie thing. I watch some stuff from time to time if they show up on the tv or such.
-
Big Lebowksi. Do it. The dude abides.
-
No drama or horror or suspense.
Go.
Busty Cops 2
-
May I suggest Studio Ghibli of some sorts?
Nausicaa, Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away...
-
Charlie's Angels.
-
Backdoor Sluts 9.
-
Natural born killers.
-
Horror man myself, but let's see.
PR = personal rating
Sintel
Short 3D fantasy film made by the Blender Foundation in Blender. While it's really short, it tells a gorgeous tale. PR 9/10.
The Prestige
Mystery film staring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, it's about two magicians trying to upstage each other. PR 9/10
Braveheart
Mel Gibson playing William Wallace, it's a action/war/history film and has one of the best speeches in cinema history. PR 9/10
Der Untergang
German film portraying the final days of Adolf Hitler. Could be tagged both as drama and war, but it's well worth the time to watch this one since it makes Hitler, one of the cruellest men in history, mortal and weak. You have to watch it with subs to give it that extra touch. PR 9/10
Shaun of the Dead
A horror comedy. I know, it's horror, but the emphasis of this film lays on the comedy. British film of the comedic aspects of a zombie apocalypse in the UK. PR 9/10
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Sequel to the original Austin Powers, a parody of the international spy genre. Really well done jokes and Mike Meyers portraits three characters in this one. In my opinion it is also better than the original, a feat not common seen in sequels. PR 9/10
Kung Fu Hustle
Hong Kong kung fu comedy, spoofing many of the true kung fu films. Great fight scenes and really well done jokes, but be sure to watch it with subs because the dubs were horrible. PR 9/10
The Great Dictator
Charlie Chaplin's finest work, which says a lot. Spoofing WWII while it was still raging on, the film that caused him to be banned from the United States. PR 9/10
If you need more, let me know. I watch a lot of films.
-
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Peter Weller is the man.
Kate and Leopold. The MANLIEST romantic comedy ever. Hugh Jackman is so swag.
