Metroid Metal (http://www.metroidmetal.com/songs/) is always a good choice.
My personal favourites of theirs are Kraid, Downed Frigate, Torvus Bog, and Prelude/Theme.

You know how Bionic Commando got a kick-*** remake (not that 3D monstrosity)? It was great. The music was greater.

Listen here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91wTtZ2Qg0k&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLD3C42AEDA16CA6B3) for proof.

I'd also say "Arcanum" but Arcanum has very depressing music.

Sorry, my video game music taste is obscure and nobody would know where it came from, or that it was in a video game.
Workin on that hipster cred, eh?

I suggest more Chrono Trigger / Cross stuff. Corridor of Time, at the least

Green Hill Zone! Always tugs at the old nostalgia strings...

It looks like you're not into dubstep from the looks of your list, which is a pity, because there's a helluva lot of good dubstep mixes of game music.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU75uz0b8EU&feature=relmfu,  for example.

No Mother 3? I am disappoint.

I've also been listening to Forge of Hours (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvqUEc-7E6g) lately, so I gotta suggest that too.

I'm guessing they're going for something more medieval sounding songs. At least less upbeat music. Otherwise we could throw the rock remix of dr willys theme in there. List looks good though.

Castle Crashers was a pretty good game with pretty good music and a pretty medieval setting.

The music isn't terribly medieval, though. Still awesome. Check it out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKp74kdxpjc).

Donkey Kong music... without "Bramble Blast"!? How dare you!
Or what about "Welcome to Crocodile island"? Or "Krook March"?

Now for other games... well, there just are way too many good music to enumerate them all.

For the Final Fantasies, "Northen Crater", "J.E.N.O.V.A.", "Black Mage Village", the rebels theme from FFII and well... many, many more.

About Zelda, it's hard to tell since you have a Medley, but "Tal Tal height", "Dark World" (A Link to the Past), "Ballad of the Wind Fish", "Skull Cavern" (Oracle of Age (What? It's a good song!)), "Dragon Roost Island" and some more.

And what about a few Kirby themes? Dedede's or Metaknight's, "Green Greens" or any variance of "Foutain of Dreams".

Or the Chrono songs? Chrono's theme, Magus' theme, "Ocean Palace", "Corridors of Time", the Bosses themes (I personally prefer Boss 2), Schala's theme, "Magical Dreamers", "People Seized With life"...

So many good songs out there, hard to choose...

I have one of those.

But this isn't music. This is the sound of an overloaded washing machine that's going crazy.

Your opinion, Archem. Hardly worth breaking a friendship over ;)

Dubstep isn't my thing, you know that. I like old prog and metal and stuff like that.  This isn't a 'what's your favourite album right now' thread though.  Dubstep's great for parties and things like that: it's interesting and textured enough to keep my attention whilst being popular enough for everyone to get behind. I could hardly blast out Godhead's lament at a social gathering. People just turn off.

You know I don't break friendships over things like music (I think). However, that junk really grinds my inner-ear. Like a drill. It sounds about the same to me, and has a similar effect.

And yes. Godhead's Lament. If you can't blast that at a party, I think you're going to the wrong parties.
