Stop ruining the fun. Happy Excuse-To-Get-Free-Shit Day, everyone.

I mean, it's still a day away, but whatever.

The ratio of getting free **** to buying other people **** changes as you get older, in a not good way :(

Not for me, I'm already one generous ****er. I spend myself into the poor house whenever I can, so it's only bound to get better as I become a more stable adult. I'll actually have money left over once I have major responsibilities.

Ok, maybe I'll just end up developing crippling debt. Whatever.

Honestly at this point I think I enjoy giving way more than getting.
It's only not in a good way if you're poor and or unemployed.
If I wasn't either I'd be buying a lot of things for, well probably not many people. I don't like many people.

Hey hey, it's Xmas time! Merry Xmas! Xmas!

So I made out like a bandit this year, scoring plenty of new CDs and games, candies and books, and $120.

The highlight is a cute little book called All my friends are still dead. (http://www.nomorefriends.net/), and it's apparently a sequel.

Oh that one, saw it when I visited Zerl.

Christmas was great, got some nice(r) clothes, some games and tickets for a concert next year.

Didn't get much, since my family is kinda poor nowadays. But I don't mind. I'll just buy whatever I want!

Spent time with my family, was nice and all. Merry Christmas and stuff.

Cheers!

Well at least it beats gold, myrrh and incense.

I'd rather have the gold. The other two are basically garbage.

I could stand for some nice incense, honestly.

Butyeah
I also got some money, and used that to buy Torchlight II and the Bundle...of which I can only play Binding of Isaac and watch Indie Game: The Movie

Why is that? Also, Torchlight II is amazing.

Computer sucks too hard for any of the other things to run.

See, I have this problem where none of my PCs have a powerful enough power supply for the graphics card I got last Christmas.
And I don't have enough money to spend on a new tower.

Yes, it is.
Also Indie Game: The Movie is ****ing fantastic.

Strange that I can (barely) run Torchlight though.

So why not just get a new power supply? They're reasonably priced and easy enough to replace. What kind of wattage does the GPU require?

I can't quite remember, and I don't have it at this house.
I think it was 400w, though? 450, maybe?

Also, the answer is that this tower has no room for either the card or a new power supply.
It's an office computer, and the case is cramped.
I don't think it fits in any of my other cases, either.

Honestly, what I really need is to just buy a new PC, preferably a barebones that way I can set it up myself.

I got a 1TB External Thunderbolt HDD.

Significantly slower than my internal SSD, but I don't have space issues anymore for copious amounts of Steam games.

Thunderbolt is awesome, 10Gb both ways, so litterally the 7200rpm is the only thing limiting the external HDD speed. Literally runs as well as it would if it were an internal drive.

I have a 3TB internal. **** all y'all.

Mine's a laptop too.

I enjoy my 8 second boot time from the SSD, both OSX 10.8 and Windows 7.

PS, my previous computer problem woes turned out to be false.
I moved my motherboard into a different case (no easy feat, because apparently Inspiron boards are infuriatingly simplified to the point of uselessness), and am now able to play pretty much every game I own on high in at least 720p.
Now all I need is some more memory and a case that isn't all ghetto'd out, and I'll have a system firmly in the bronze age.
