Tips please

Umm, this is not really a request, but I need to know how I can make this charset look batter. Notice how the colors don't stand out. If you want to help me and just edit it with improvements, and I like it, I will use it and give you credit. Please help.

Also, I need someone to change the stepping images. They don't flow well.

The problem with the colors is likely because of the background color you chose. If you had a different background I think the colors would look fine.

As for the stepping, yeah. Two things to remember: 1) when you stand straight up you're taller than when you spread your legs out to walk, so have the sprite be a little shorter. Two, the foot shouldn't be up in the air like that, because the character already took the step. so have both feet on the ground, but put one "in front" (lower) than the other.
