Does anyone know where I guy can find old skool, like first generation console, or even really bad NES music thats not overtly familiar?
I also need sound effects. The Battle cries of pokemanz, from Blue come to mind as a reference.
The RTP sounds are just too good for my project.

Zophar's Domain. It has an entire NSF archive. It also has NSF player downloads, with which you can often save WAV files. I use Audacity to convert those to MP3s if they are entire songs. Some of the NSFs have sound effects, other don't. If you're in to writing your own, I recommend FamiTracker. Creating sound effects is fairly simple through experimenting. Have fun. :)

I made a fortune in toothpicks, but I lost it all in a fire.

Try and get a hold of Wayne saying "No way!" from the NES Wayne's World game. It sounds so bad and 90s That it's sure to fit in.
