Tales series skits?

Are they possible with RPG Maker?

You mean like having the portraits pop up on the screen and then a message appear and such?
And then the portraits change expression or shake and such?

Oh yes, just tint the screen a bit darker.
Show picture for the faces involved.
Have the pictures at different positions and make sure they don't overlap each other.
Then have the dialouge appear and such.
Change the pictures when needed and have them flash or shake when you want to.
Pretty easy once you got the hang of it.

OK, but how about in the manner that they appear?   Can you do the semi-random appearance using veriables and stuff?    I just thinkl it would be a nice addition to my game.   Speaking of which demo 2 screenshots will be coming soon.

Well, when you've come as far into the game so that special skit shopuld appear: turn on a switch.
While the switch is on - a variable (random number between # and # depending on thwe chance you want it to appear) checks if the skit should appear or not.
Have the random chance check everytime you enter a special area or such. It should probably work.

Hmm, I'll try that.   Heh, Kingdom Hearts with skiys, I wonder how that'll work out.
