Where would one apply for artists?

Does anyone here know of anywhere good to request a few character portraits for my game? I really
don't need art that detailed - an hour of work at the most! I've tried Newgrounds, but the Art Request thread
is dead and gone. I'm worried, because I'd really like to just get some in before this game deadline. It'd
make such a difference!

I need to use pictures which swoop in from the left and right on character speech. I've done
some makeshift ones when experimenting with the whole voice acting system. Just like what I've
done but actually good:

The... umm... problem still stands. I'll just move this up in case you had a valuable
contribution to make!

1) find someone on deviantart that has a style you like
2) pay them money
3) get in line
That's about it.

I bet HTML could do it better than anyone here.

I'll give it a try tonight, but you probably won't be satisfied with the results. I'm not a super-great artist, but it's worth a try. XD

Awesome, Natako. Do you have any samples of past work that I could preview? I've not
seen HTML post in effing decades!!

Well...uh...I finished them. They're not really that good, but the sad part is that I've definitely improved despite not having drawn anything in a long time. Like I said, you probably won't like them because they're kind of "eh", but I'd might as well put them out there for everyone to see. And throw stones at me.
At the very least, consider them fan art. XD Now shield your eyes!
Kruz (by the way, I suck at drawing spiky hair, yet my own game features two characters with it =\)

The guy with the tuning-fork hair...don't know his name. This one's a little better, I think.

And yeah, that's actually my art style. It's weird...kinda like a cross between digital art, water color, and magic markers. XD

They are good. Or, at least, they're as good as a guy with tuning fork hair and no sense of fashion is ever gunna get.

Yoikes, they're cringe-worthy. But who am I to talk? I haven't drawn anything in ages, and I don't recall being especially good.
