I'm at a blank

Yeah I have the plot all laid out (somewhat) but there's some parts I drew a blank like right now. The 2 main charaters Chip and Hachi they are in a war or might and majic. But they get their own little squad thingy and they are suppose to be waiting for oders from Smokey_Locs The leader of the Smo_LibeRation Army. The base gets attacked by these monster out of no where while CHip and Hachi are inside this small building that was just there. Geting to know each other because forbore they got their own squad they didn't know each other at all. So anyways they hear a loud explosion and they run outside and their all squad is dead..Blood is everywhere so they kill the monster...and they are shocked as hell because the type of monster that killed all the people isn't the atking type monster even though it's ugly as hell. So they decide to leave before more of them come because the monster travels in HUGE groups. They dicide to goto this other base in the desert, which is where they are. They run threw to canyons and arive at the base and they walk around looking for smokey to telol him what happened and ask him if he knew why it happend. He tell them why..and now he sends them off to another base to tell this other  guy named Wood what happened. Now this is the part I'm stuck at. See they are suppose to get another charater on their team..but how would they meet her? and what would happen? I just need ideas. I have none and I don't want to just throw in something and fix it later (cuz it won't happen)

Well I could help come up with a few scenarios on how you get the next member in your party, but I need some info on her.

She's 17 (acts childish)
She's from a rich family that wants her to work hard all the and become a successful mage like all the other members in her family but wants to  join the army and become a warrior because she...just sucks a magic. But her family won't allow it, they take away all her warrior weapons and all her "warrior of dummies" books so one day while she was in the forest with her Mage Sensi guy..thingy.
(I forgot what they are called)
and while he's trying to motivate her. They run into a fight with a monster a strong one. So he tells her to stay backand while he's fighting this thing she sees a boat, docoking, going to the Smo liberation army's main base to sign up new recruites. So she slowy backs away from the battle and runs towards the boat. The sensi yells
"Yes, that's it go get help"..he's kinda...slow..... well she get's on this ship and the ship makes a stop at the same town as Hachi and Chip. She doesn't know that the town that the boat arrived at is not the main base of the Smo liberation Army. ANND that's the outline of it her story goes into more detail..but yeah..to sum it up


She's Childish, doesn't think of others, has no clue what the real world is, and a fighter, oh yeah her name is Ayane.
