Yahoo Problem
«

Hi, whenever I open up IE, OR, FireFox, my internet browser automatically directs me to Yahoo.com, and I am getting sick of it. I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had this problem, or a similar problem, and has some pointers as to how to fix it. This problem only started like 20 minutes ago. It only happens some of the time. If I clikc enough it stops, but it is still getting on my nerves. All help appreciated. TiA (I wanna make up one of those thingies to. TiA means Thanks in Advance. I say that so often, I figure I'd make it lazy

Something like that is happening to me too. When ever I go to File>New>Window, it directs me there. Hmmm....dunno if it's similar or different.

You just have to change your homepage. I think it can be done with internet options in your controll panel for IE, I think you need to use an option in firefox to change the home page for that.
It sounds like you have a spyware or adware. So I'd sweep your computer for them. Also, if you have yahoo toolbar, that may have caused your homepage to switch.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

My homepage is always Google. But, it has lessened now. It rarely happens anymore. Usually only on the main page. Anyway, I'll switch it to Google again. Thanks for the advice all.

But it DOES happen to you occasionaly, yes? I think I remembered this too late but it can still help with the next similar problems.
Last night I just remembered possibly the BEST program I've ever seen. Behold, HijackThis! It's perfect for deleting crap like that resets your homepage to some **** and generally makes your comp a worse place.
With this tool, destroying commercial junk on your comp is a pleasure.
Just be careful not to delete any of the system folders, because it shows those too.

It's not nessecarily changing the home page, it's just redirecting me whenever I open my internet browser, or click on a link....Well..It happens sometimes anyway. I e-mailed to them about the problem, still waiting for a response.
