The
Ghosts of Heart Lake
started out like any normal RPG; your hero wakes up in bed, and you have to start the game by doing the hero's tasks. You walk around town, get to know other towners, view the buildings, ect.. Of course, later on it opens up into a story line, which I though was well put together, and pretty interesting. There were some problems though, which are noticeable from the start, such as poorly created maps, use of older Final Fantasy chip sets (which aren't too attractive), no custom systems were in implemented, (except a strange key-items menu), and Duo Maxwell (From the anime series Gundam Wing) was used as the main character's face set. Basically, what I'm trying to get across: the graphics were one of the worst aspects of this game. To go along side of the graphics, the music wasn't very well used, and most of the tracks were not fitting of the event taking place. However, programming, and NPC placement were quite good, so the lack of a beautiful setting isn't largely noticed. Overall, most of the problems were semi-minor, making
Ghosts of Heart Lake
a pretty fun and entertaining game, which played out rather nicely.

Thanks, GC. I guess I've got some work to do, I'm kinda surprised about the music, but I think I know why. I need a less modern theme for this game, right? Plus, I have noticed my placement isn't so great. Less digital more orchestral. Just so I can get an idea, what chipsets did you find unfitting or had ugly GFX? I've got to do some refocusing on this. I'll be back though!

Well, I didn't like the first town's chip too much (The FF rip), I think that you could do much better with another town chip set, because remember, the first town counts a lot. And sorry, I don't have any suggestions..
