does anybody know how to make a pictures background stay transparent when you save it..liek what File Type do I save it as?...thanks..

Try File>Save for Web. I don't have Photoshop, but I use it in Multimedia at school, and that's how we always saved images with an invisible background. We saved 'em as PNG-24 or some number. Can't really remember... Something PNG-related.

Ah archem, wouldn't saving for web alter the colours a little? seeing as the web pallete differs from the PS default one.

Well, as I said, I don't have photoshop, but I'm sure that a different color pallete wouldn't make too much trouble. And if it does, save it with a different color setting. But as far as I know, the internet can handle most anything Photoshop can throw at it.

Save it as a .GIF format. As long as the background was transparent when you made the image, it should be when you save it. .PNG has transparency capabilites but isnt seen as transparent in all browsers.
