Masks - I'm thinking about a game where the main character's abilities are determined by the masks he wears - the masks are considered Demons - and they have a life of their own. They talk back to the main character - and may even fight with the character. All the masks are bad - but their powers are necessary if he wishes to restore the land back to its original golden state.
Each Demon being born out of the essence of natural beasts - birds - reptilians - and marine life.
There is no story besides that - mostly internal struggle, there is inevitable growth in the story I don't doubt. The tone's going to be very bizarre and mystical - hopefully illuminating. I can't see this being a game of fighting - so much as solving puzzles - being chased - a game of challenge. I'll be implementing my Platforming System "Cubic Terrain" - as someone had suggested this would be good for making a game of puzzle solving.
Here are some ideas of Characters - Likely to change:

This is Godot-Bon - the hero. Intends to restore and save the world from rolling decay of the land - desolation. His personality is one of dignity or it gets to that point.

Gobi - is the crooked Crow Demon one too really mistrust and trust in. His wit is mysterious and confusing - though their is a thousand truths in what he says. Adds to Godot-Bon's jump ability and is an aid in solving puzzles.

O'Sop - is the Fish Demon. Grants Godot-Bon the ability to swim in deep waters.
