for some reason i found myself with some time. i figured id make a side scrolling character to go along with all of the other naked templates ive made. ive been meaning to packing all of my home made resources whenever this job lets up, and convieniently, today was a good day to get going on it.
So I get the little dude all made up, in walking stance.
I always have troubles doing a dash stance.
I was wondering if somebody would care to take a stab at the composition.
thats the black and grey sequence in the picture below.
i was hoping for a set of them that black and grey poses to detail
and coulour nicely and stuff. but i cant get it right. it frustrating.
It would have to be about the same size as the others.
Ill give credit and stuff.Submit them to CR and whatnot.

I tried and can't make it in your style (Or anything decent for that matter), but I believe I can still help with describing the process.
Basically the idea is that the intermediate pose is when the person dashing has their weight on one leg. They should look like they're leaning on it a bit, and their arms should both be bent and near the center of their body, but offset - the arm that just went forward should have it's elbow either in front of the chest or on the side, while the arm that just went back should have it's elbow still behind the torso.
The foot on the back leg should be half-pointed sort've like it's dragging on the ground (But not quite).

thanks for the input.
Theoretically, I know what to do... but for some reason I cant get the positioning to look right.
I should have used a stick frame
it would have been easier.
no matter how i try, the body parts look disproportionate when i do the pose.

I can't tell, the shades are too close together. Could you outline it real quick?

The third one has the proper upper body and head positioning, although the arms could be a little more spread out. The second one has better leg setup although the knee on the leg touching the ground isn't bent enough - the guy is sprinting, remember?
Mix the two good parts together and you would have a decent pose (Of course you should match the arms and legs up in terms of animation but besides that).
