RPG XP, game starting issue

ok i looked up, used search for what i could understand and couldnt find anything pertaining to this.

Ok, so i have RPG Maker XP now and i had a game going, tested it here and there, liked it, etc. However ive switched computers, transferred my data to the new comp(laptop) and whenever i try to play an XP game of mine, even using the testing button, it comes up, stays black, then i get some kinda error message saying the following ...

RGSS Player has stopped working

Windows is searching for a solution
(insert loading bar here)

(after loading)
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

and thats what i get every time. It doesnt do that for my 2k3 version, only my XP version. What all could this be and if anyone knows, i could use a step by step method of taking care of this. Please and thank you.
