New Profile Stuff and how to use it

A couple of new features have been added to our profile system here at Charas!

"About Me" and "Intrests" sections added
          (dont worry, It wont be getting any more 'facebook' then this guys XD)

Profile Photos
          As of right now, Users may upload up to ten photos to their profiles. For now, this feature is open to all users groups, but will eventually be restricted from brand-new members, and will be unloackable accourding to member rank.  It should be noted that the same rules apply for profile content as do anywhere else...and for reference, profile content rules and FAQ will be announced shortly.

Profile Comments:
Comment on your own or your friends profiles, and their pictures

Improved buddy system:
 "Buddy" lists are reset, and have changed a little as well.
Adding a buddy now sends a "buddy request" to the second party. You will eventually be able to restrict/filter your profile content according to your list.


How to change the content of your new profile:

    First you go to your profile. Then you scroll way down almost to the bottom. See the Links? Click the one that says Ultimate Profile.

Reporting bunk profiles, and managing comments:
    For now, the only enabled form of moderation in regards to profile contents is a "Report profile to moderator" button. Use it if needed. Abusing this feature will make the admins mad.Don't.
   Profile Comments will be editable and moderated by the profile owner, and the admin staff...this will all be funtional in the next day or two.

Any questions let me know. Use them there picture galleries, buddy lists, and beefed up profiles. Also, our chatroom is now a mibbit IRC room. Its not java....and its the proper chatroom. Check it....or dont. Its currently a lawless anachist state.

Pretty neat.
Don't know what I would put on my profile though, so I probably won't bother messing with it.

HMMM.

Disabling BBC code (square brackets) breaks the HTML brackets. That's weird. It's like something is telling the forum that the HTML is the BBC code and so it's not recognizing the square brackets at all.

Edit: yep, disabling HTML also removes all the quick icons from posts that were previously used to create BBC code. Something's very odd here.

the BBC thing should be fixed soon. I think this is a Usergroup issue....as BBC codes are enabled. Ill go through membergroups...I think some permissions were changed inadvertently during the 'update' process.

... hmm. But I've been playing with other groups, and everything seems to be in line. A Squad and Staff had all the BBC code stuff on. And how come I could do admin stuff even though A-Squad doesn't have any admin-related stuff on?

The higher rank of permissions overrides your displayed rank as for controlss, but  the lower rank overrides for BBC permissions? Srsly?



Im currently going through all the usergroups and making sure the permissions are in order. Many boxes need clicking.
