Writing stuff

So a few weeks ago, sleep deprivation led me to write a short story in one sitting. Since then, I've edited it significantly, into a story I call "The New Life". It's still a work in progress, so I would appreciate input on it. As of this edit, it's almost exactly 20,000 words, in case that matters to you.

Since then, I've been writing a lot, so I'll probably post some more stuff in this topic, so if you want to laugh at how comically inept I am at writing fiction, stay tuned.

Ha, it's far from perfect. After reading through it, I realize that there's a few subplots that don't get resolved, and I'd like to add a few more character bits (which means MOAR WORDS). And I agree with the endings, that was pretty much when my brain just died, so I'm going to rewrite the first one and make it a bit more cheery.

So I've read it too. Pretty good read, yeah. And I also agree about the ending, except that even the first seemed to fast. But the rest is pretty interesting.

Finally went back and edited it. I updated the link on the first post, so you can re-download it if you so desire. I added stuff here and there, Chapter 10 is new, and everything beyond that is substantially changed. (I added the names of the viewpoint characters to the chapter headings, because it changes around a lot and they serve as chapter names too.) It's longer too, but hopefully better and worth reading this time around.

But I still have some lots of free time, and another awesome idea came into my head. So I'm gonna write about that. Tentative name is Action Sue, but I'm not gonna spoil it

I don't want to be a mood killer, but we do have a writing subforum that is quite empty.

Could we move this there?

I decided against posting in the subforum because it was so empty. Though if someone wants to move it, by all means.

I updated the main post: I revised The New Life a bit more (pretty much the entire thing is new), and I'm considering writing Action Sue (still a tentative name) as a visual novel, though we'll see if I decide to go through with that. On a whim, I also started a GaoGaiGar/Gurren Lagann crossover fic (not sure if anyone here knows what either of those things are), which I might post here sometime; I also have a few incomplete text files booting around, so I might be struck by inspiration and finish those up.

Honestly, I'm feeling really inspired lately, and I've probably written more words in the past few weeks than in the last couple of years. I don't know how long it will last, but I'm going to milk it for all it's worth. So expect something new soon.
