Hello everyone! I just recently started using rpg maker 2003 and i was wonder if anyone would happen to be able to lead me to/create matching charasets and facesets of the original heroes and charas?I just a variety so i can have more NPC's. (Less generic ya know?)
Any help or links would be great i just dont have the attention spanto go through all 367 pages of charasets!
I'm a tad lazy

So you need want to learn to sprite? well I think that you should try one of the many wonderful spriting tutorial out there, and to start you need no more than a image editing program (preferably not MS Paint [I recommend Paint.NET{
http://www.getpaint.net/
}, Gimps or/and photoshop is just too much if you want only to sprite.])
Since you're beginning to sprite you should start by editing other charsets(probably using the charas generator to get the base).
About the faceset I would recommend you to use one of the many wonderful face sprite generators out there, since you're starting to sprite.
Besides that just keep in mind the charsets are 288x256 sized images with the movement of 8 characaters(each 72x128) the mevement direction from the top to the botom are: walking to the top, walking to the right, walking to the bottom and walking to the left. a template might be useful in the beginning.
the facesets are just 192x192 sized images with 16 faces of 48x48 each(use filters when resizing). Remember that both the charsets and facesets must be 8-bit images (256 colors) in oder to import and that it only imports .bmp and .png images(the latter is prefable).
To import you just need to go under the
Tools>Resource Manager
and just select what you to import.
Hopefully helpful.
