A Fugitive in Stardew Valley - Series Progress

Finally got to the second gameweek, so I figure it's time to celebrate with an actual title card and with a progress update!
Title Card Preview (on DeviantArt)
I'm about to start actually drawing that character as my own art, but I'm debating whether to leave the pixel version on the title card as well. I do so love pixel art....
Anyway, I'm Jonesing to get back to playing the game, but I don't want to get too far ahead of the published episodes, because it's hard to have the right headspace, and I might be in the middle of making an episode when I realize a thing I need to do in upcoming days, so it's not entirely just "film it all then use it as found footage," although that's part of it. There's a back-and-forth in the process, and so far it's working out just fine.
Here's the
series playlist
. I like how it's turning out

I have a website now! Currently just points at my fanfics (over 230 works, totaling over 750,000 words, mostly in Marvel and Person of Interest and now Lackadaisy too). YouTube channel on hiatus but I hope to eventually recreate "A Fugitive in Stardew Valley" now that I know how to mod the game.

I'm glad you like the idea! I had wanted to do something more than a regular LP, for two reasons: Carving my own niche, and recording the audio after the gameplay. Since I play at night when the household is asleep, I can't record my honest reactions to the gameplay, and any time I try to play solo games while talking to a future audience, I get all flustered.
I have a general idea of where I want my story variant to go, but I'm currently trying to figure out how to manage the mystical elements of the series in the short term. Doing this "found footage" style with minimal special effects editing is... a welcome challenge, but certainly not easy. I'm actually quite pleased with the few special effects I've managed so far (falling from the cliff (two different ways), being chased by dark figures in a nightmare, changing the text of the Mayor's speech at one point). But I don't yet know how to make masks in Blender to let me loop one part of the footage separate from the other (e.g. let the ocean have a normal animation cycle while I talk with a guy on the docks), and in some cases I should've thought to capture longer footage of a piece (such as the girl jumping rope -- I ended up having to make her super fast when she's really just a beginner and shouldn't be able to do that).
Now to go work on the hand-drawn artwork for my character... tried that the other day and got frustrated with how it was turning out, but I'm hoping for better results tonight
