The Stigma around RMXP and Charas...

You know... it really bugs me that for some reason RMXP is a taboo in this website. I just don't get it.
True, RMXP uses completely different templates to RM2K... and possibly RM2K3 (although I've never used it). But why don't the Gods that brought us Charas.exe expand their heavenly market to encompass another Game Creation program?
I have always been a devout follower of Charas.exe for as long as I can remember, and have always worshipped the freedom to create whatever you want with it.
But RM2K has evolved to consist of a beautiful new scripting language that allows you to do so much more! Isn't it time that Charas.exe ascended to a whole new level to support this?
WHY MUST THEY FIGHT THE FUTURE???
...
Humbly awaiting a change of opinion in the halls of the Charas King.

We do not support RMXP because
1) The serial crack needed to translate the English version makes it warez, which is more illegal than just a translation
2) Alex doesn't feel the need to make generators or sections in the Complete Resources for RMXP
So, if you want resources, go look somewhere else, and stop plaguing us with your n00bish questions.

Uh... huh.
So apparently there are varying degrees of how illegal something is.
Ok then... keep dreaming.
As for the need to augment the Complete Resources sections... I think it'd be well worth it. If Alex doesn't... well, ok. It is his website. But nevertheless people are beginning to ask these 'n00bish' questions... and the potential popularity increase could be rewarding...
I'll just wait for the time being.

You
cannot force anyone to do anything. If Alex wants his site to be RM2K/3 only, then Alex's site is going to be RM2K/3 only, and there's nothing you can do about it. As I said before, there are other sites that support RMXP, and you an get whatever you need from there.

This is going to be my last reply to my own thread for a while, so that I won't irritate too many important people.
I realise that I can't force anyone to do anything, and I never claimed I would. However, I remember when Charas used to be solely for RM2K, and any talk about RM2K3 would be annhilated. However, the times changed, and Alex expanded his base of operations.
Say whatever the hell you want now, and I won't challenge you, but there is some hope that one day RMXP will also be included.

RM2k3 used the generators we already had, plus the battlechar generator. RMXP uses a different sized charset. Alex isn't going to make a new generator to support the new size, and neither will Charas.EX have RMXP support.

I just realised that this conversation is completely pointless. I found a program that converts RM2K graphics to RMXP graphics at the press of one button. Essentially, I can still use Charas.exe and get what I want for RMXP. So in terms of this message... my bad.
May this thread sink into the sands of time...
