Last of His Kind - RP

[Arcanagirl]

Jenna looks around curiously and cautiously.

Jenna: "Everything ok?"

[Rywho]

Another roar resonates through the night air, louder and more forceful than the last, shaking the walls of the tavern.  More patrons grow skidish, this was something new for them, thouhg it's doubtful any of them enjoy the sound.

[Ben]

"Silence!"Gem calls......."Something watches us in malice...."

The Three stand on Caution.....


Gem, after scurrying to Higher ground, smells the Breeze, and Returns Low, to Whisper his discovery toi the party......

"Im not sure what it is, but something....or things are spying on Us.....Or at least spying on the Pub's Traffic....

What shall we do m'lady.....this isnt the scent of the Lupine You seeks.....It smells cleaner....but hostile none the less....it could be dangerous travelling by night with just the 3 of us...."

"Kit......Jenna.....We must either Leave hre now, Or venture inside....Battle is eminent."

[Arcanagirl]

Jenna: "I can just tell it isnt the from Seria, for he strikes fast in the middle of everyone, and doesnt wait to attack.  I think someone was following one of us."

She ponders to herself as she looks around. Her pointy elven ears begin to wiggle slightly left and right.

Jenna: "It's very close and seems stealthy enough to hide any trace of footsteps."

[Rywho]

A figure adorned in a tatered and torn cloak appears into view, as another roar comes through the night.  Unshaken this cloaked being walks onward coming ever closer to the small group.  Without stopping to say a word, or offer a glance he passes by them and continues on.  The rain begins to pick up furhter, as another figure slinks into view, being sharter than the other man, he is just as if not more menacing.

Blue tinted fur covers his body, lupine arched feet storm after the cloaked man's trail, seems something transpired between the two, maybe a transgression in this wolf man's mind.  His golden eyes reflect what little light this night holds.

[Arcanagirl]

She glared at the Lupine with hostile eyes a slowly hovered her hand above her dagger held to her waist. Thoughts began to flow into her mind of that fearful day, but with one true glance, could not tell if it was truely the Lupine that killed her nephews.

As her eyes kept to the Lupine, she followed 20 paces behind it, in case it was the killer. She only waited for one wrong move.

[Ben]

Awestruck, the group gaze baffled for a moment....

"miss Jenna......" Gem stutters....."I believe Ive found your Lupine......however, it seems he has an Entouage.....We'd be best to follow in the shadows behind...I still sense much danger brewing here.....Bandits likely.....Ill see wh---" but Gems voice fades into murmurs, as he draws his clioak, and nearly vanishes into the shadowas, chasing after the Lupine and his master...

Ahead of them, Kit and Jenna can see gem scouting the trail....A fain glow eminates from the ribbon on Gems Quiver, letting the small party see the distance and position of the Tracker..



"That beast must be carrying an extra enchantment.....to escape my senses.......much power in that creature" Gem whispers to himself, in half-thought

(OOC: Again, Jenna has beat me to the post"

[Rywho]

The cloaked man disappears from both the Lupine and Jenna's sight. The humaniod stops his jaw open, speaking his voice is slightly deep, "what the!? oh just great first he walks right through my territory, now he disappears, some nerve that bloke has,"  His ears twitch and he cranes his neck back towards Jenna, he gives her an odd lok seeing her hand at her blade, "got something against Lupines, miss?  Or have I inconvinenced you over something?"

[Arcanagirl]

She pauses for a moment, then relaxes to normal form.

Jenna: "I am sorry, but I almost thought you were my nephews' killer. Please pardon me, but a Lupine did wrong my past. I just didnt know if you were him or not. Please pardon my behavior."

She turns and walks back to the pole and leans against it. Her hopes of finding the killer seemed almost lost to her now. A tiny tear drops to the ground and crystalizes before breaking into tiny pieces.

She speaks to herself quietly: "Its been a month now, and no luck. He could be anywhere by now. The trail is getting colder, I just hope Kite and Gem and help me find him."

[Darkfox]

"This gets more and more interesting... to battle both the beast and the lubine I could start to claim my rights as the top of the food chain..." Kite thought to himself, a smirk comes over his face and then he chuckles and talks in confident tone "Do not worry yourself m'lady, we will find this scoundrel and give him what he deserves."

[Ben]

Falling out of a tree, with a rustling of Branches, comes Gem.....Bow still in hand.....Arrow Gripped in tow with it.

"T'is a good thing ye spoke, miss jenna....Or i'd have killed an Innocent Lupine...."
Casting a Glare at the lupine "Inocent of one crime, anyhow...."
What is your business, were-hound.....Ive encountered your kind before, and learned not to throw trust at your folk easily"


"One of your kind murdered two children.....My leige's Nephews.....
Speak wolf....tell me what you know, lest my companion cutss your toung out"

[Darkfox]

"You speaketh of me being rude yet thou harass a complete stranger for just being what he was born as." Kite remarked to Gem folding his arms.

[Ben]

Gem turns his head to Kit in annoyance.....
"Kit.....Wandering the lands for as long as I remember, I have yet to encounter a Lupine that can be trusted......They can have a heart of gold....but when the hunger hits....they will eat you in your sleep.....I ask him for answers....And if it doesnt answer, it hides something.....I will let it be at peace when it answers me."
Gem turns, slightly more enraged....."SPEAK, LUPINE.....For your own good"

[Darkfox]

"Even a man would eat a fellow man if hungry enough..." Kite said with a near-grim tone, and a bit questionable how he refers to people. "I find humans to be one of the more untrustable species..."

[Ben]

Gem lowers his bow and steps back, raising his hands slightly, and stowing his longbow, and Arrow.....

"Very Well Kit.......I shall heed your words, allthough reluctant....
but bear this in mind.......
I have yet to see a human that regularly Ingests Feces....but the sight of a dog mowing on a dropping is oviously not enough to convince you of the vile nature here..."
"I will let you deal with the lupine....But If I see it so much as lick its lips in our direction I will stick it in the eye and Gut it myself."

Turning Away slightly to keep sentry, Gem allows Kit his wish.

Fixating his gaze on the horizon, Gem notices a small group approaching leagues in the distance....Still a good 5 minutes travel from the Pub the group had departed from earlier
