So after well over a year of map making, and coding, and custom sprites, and making origional chipsets, and all that crap.....
Im trying to make an intro scene in my game.....
This is all well and fine.....
After a bit of cutscene conversation, and the like, the whole shebang teleports to a map.....and in this map.....I have a picture of a cloud.....
I wanted to have the cloud(s) floating pleasantly overhead....
I can get the cloud to appear....but I cant get it to stop following the character around....I wanted them to move indepentantly, overhead...
I tried using the move picture function, but Im obviously not doing it right at all.
Im using RM2K3........

Try un-checking the "Picture Scrolls With Map" box near the bottom of the Move Picture window. As well, put the Move Picture command in a Parallel Process event so that it acts independant to the cutscene.

Do what Warxe said, only check the box, not uncheck. If you have it checked, then the picture will act independently for movement (so to say). If you don't have it checked, it will act like an Overlay, such as fog.
