If I told you what the Ragnarok incident was, I would have spoiled everything.
That's what you're playing through in the game - the Ragnarok incident . . .

.hack// is the name of the series this fan game is based on. 'Refresh' is the general
theme of the game.

I don't understand how you got "Characters" and than class selections.

Wha..?

Ohh never mind.. I guess I would have to be a fan of the series to understand at all what you're talking about.

New Updates: 2/13/08

Notes on possible demo:
While there is nothing to truly play through, I may have a tech demo available around the end of March/the beginning of April. It would include the completed Character Creation System, an example of the many areas available to travel to in Mac Anu, a small teaser of Asgard, and a few other things to look forward to in the real game.

Notes on production:
I am currently looking for a small team to help me make the game. Let's face it, this is a huge game (a trilogy of games, really!), and I can't handle it alone. Possible fields I'm looking into:
-Music Composition
-Character Spriting
-Story Co-Lead
I will still handle chipset sprites and map making, as well as coding the features into the game. If you are interested, please PM me with what job you wish for and some examples of your previous work. Spriters, please note: if you are chosen, you must match the style of the rest of the game, and must therefore be flexible.

That's all for today!

This is still in production, and I'm still looking for the same positions previously listed.

I may be able to help a little with music, but it depends on how much I have going on.

Also.  I give you a Saxophone for your inventory.

Its nice to know this is still alive. ^^

This looks amasing,
A. What type of combat is it
B. Give it some futuristic looks(not overdone,)
C. Star Ocean music would be great for this type of game
D. I can get you midi's easily(but not self made)
E. I'd like to help if it's ABS and If you've played .hack games you know where you have to enter
names to change worlds...I know how to do that-as we'll as a phone system ^__^

Currently, I'm using the DBS for many reasons -
a. The Coding for every single class/gender/color mix would be hell
b. Same for the spriting
As for the graphics, the "real world" will have a "futuristic" look to it. The graphics "online" will have heavy earth tones.
I'm going to avoid using pre-made music from other games completely. If worse comes to worse, I use my musical abilities to compose the music myself >_>
I'm working on many ways to work the Gate System. A prototype is in the works.

-Character Spriting

What kind of character spriting? Battle sets or Charas? 'Cause I can do both, and would be glad to.

All classes are in the game, so yes, WaveMasters are in there.
@Fish: NPCs are needed. Send me a PM with some of your work and I'll tell you if I'm interested or not, because the graphics in this game are fairly heavy.

.hack has very specific classes. Wavemasters are the mages, then there are the weapon wielders which are basically: Lancers, Axemen, Twohander Swordsmen, Singlehanded Swordsmen, and Duel Daggers. In the newer series there are two mage types and gunner plus a sickle wielder, but I personally think that that series stunk. Making any other class would be going outside the norm.

Wow, this looks awesome! I definatly love the idea of character creation, I was thinking about making a game where you creat your own character too, but I realized that it took too much work, so I gave up... (All the possiblities!)

Anyway, it looks really cool, and I'd definatly like to play it once it's done!

LOOKING FOR BETA TESTERS!

But only for a tech demo. Since I don't have the time to sit down and look for every bug in the system, I just need a few people who are willing to play with the Character Creation System and run around Mac Anu to look for any bugs. If interested, please reply. The first five (5) to show interest will be chosen.
