It would've also helped, maybe, if you actually told us when they said this, because it could mean anything (well, not really). It just depends what context it was used for.

If you just played a game, and someone says "gg", chances are it'll means "Good Game".
Now, if you're acting like a fag or something, and then someone calls you a "gg", then it could actually means "Gay Guy". I've never heard "gg" as an insult, but it could be.

So if we knew when your friends actually said tt or rlc, we could've tried to guess what it means. For exemple, if your friend said "TT" after, let's say, being killed by a random grenade while playing any FPS, it may be a crying smiley (although it's usually "T.T"). If he said that in any other context, then it can means something else.
About RLC, well, I don't know. It could be "Real Life C...something" or whatever, it just depends.

It can also be a miss-typed or miss-read, or maybe your friends are actually just trying to be smart ***, as mentioned above.
