Not messed up at all. Its running. And those things are not symmetrical at all. Have you never seen one of them? :/

It doesn't look like it.
The lack of sizable size change with the sides makes it look like it's standing in one plane, which it's not.
I personally would recommend on hardening the shading on the back arm/leg to reinforce that notion.

Seriously, it is good, it's just that the perspective is a tad wonky.

EDIT: Wait...is it running forwards towards the camera, or is it running to the side?
