Secret Friend!

So...well, this may sound silly, but yeah, let's see.

Here in Brazil we got this "game" we play when the year's ending that we call, in literal translation, "secret friend". I bet the same game exists in the whole world, so yeah...

For those not familiar with it, it consists in a secret sortition, where every person picks a paper that contains another person's name. That would be your secret friend, for whom you must buy a gift. Then, on the assigned day, everyone exchanges gifts!

Well, I saw my sig today and thought that it was a nice act from Lucas, and I thought we could make this something bigger. The idea would be that the gift would be something like a sig, avatar or such, which we'd put on until X-mas!

This's a great game, cause it bring people together, everyone fraternizing with each other...

May sound pathetic and lonesome, but I really like a lot of people in here, so it sounded fun ^^

Yeah that would be tough to assign everyone a secret friend. Unless one person puts all the names in a hat or something then does all the picking, then PMs everyone their partners or whatever.

Secret Santa around these parts, since it's a cheap way to do Christmas with a group, but everyone still gets something.

I would be in. I suggest we make a thread were everyone who wants to be a part of it sign up then someone randomly chooses who get who. Then pm the name to the members.

Yeah, we do this too, here. However, it's on Christmas, not at the end of the year, and the person try to guess who picked their name. If you get it right, you get the gift right away, and if not, you just wait for your next turn until you're the last one. Well, that's how we do it in our family. Maybe it's totally different for other families.

That would be nice doing it on Charas... however, since I'm not very skilled and some time a bit lazy, I'm not sure I should participate... I'll see about this.
But it sure sounds like a good idea.

Well, that's what I thought: we assign one person to do all the picking and compromise NOT TO TELL ANYONE, or we can use something like this:

EDIT: OH yeah, here we have the oposite of Secret Santa too: instead of giving a nice gift, you give a screwd up one, to muck the person and so on...this one needs moderation, so that no fights come out of it, but it's pretty funny too!
