Alright, im trying to make a little electric bolt move around the power plant style level i have, i have its movement down and such, but i want it to be moving, go over my character, do 50 damage, flash yellow once and make a sound and keep going. i have it down but, for some reson it will stick on my char and stop my character from moving, so its pretty much a game over lol. ive tried alot of things but i cant get it to do it.
can someone help me out with this please!?

The simplest answer may be that the bolt is set to 'same level as hero,' try 'above hero.' It's on the basic object principles on the left side.

Make the bolt jump to another position once it makes the contact with the hero(probably with a variable location)....also, make sure you do what ed says.
Or....try making a switch that is activated when the contact is made....after contact, move the bolt to its starting location and reset the switch....
otherwise, make sure the movement of the bolt ignores impassable objects, because electricity often does that, in if for some reason you find it prudent to keep the bolt on the same layer as the hero, it will continue on
