Well not necessarily this form of bio-immortality. But you know what, that's a good question. If living forever meant you had to be crazy chewbacca, would you do it?

I never mentioned the forum had an ignore button. Just ignoring (most of) your posts cause you're always whining.

Technically, plants that do not cross-pollenate with other plants simply clone themselves by self-pollenation.  So, you could say there are immortal plants around us.  Plus, single-celled organisms do that weird osmosis-type thing where they double and quadruple and whatever, simply replicating their DNA.  These could also be considered 'immortal', although over time they will inevitably mutate.  As Gem said, though, a complex organism like us couldn't take such a process after so many times.  At least, unlike the jellyfishes, we have plastic surgeons to take care of that.
