It would be hard to explain all that but, i can tell you I'm trying to make a title with Amy sonic shadow Rouge eggman(sonic people) Mario, Bowser and Peach (Mario people) Link Ganadorf zelda, (Zelda people) and storm (X-men.

Okay i usually get a cool looking title (like space or the plant earth) I put lots of cool pictures and it look amazing.Then i put it into my game and it says invalid color depth. Then i try and change the Png and Jepg or whatever and it doesn't work any better.

Post the "amazing title" when the colour depth is invalid and we'll fix it for you.

You need to save it as a 256coloured BMP in paint otherwise. And that usually screws the colours.
