Anyways, yeah, I had a friend move away, and then when he came back, he had a drug addiction and pretty much became a jock jerk that left behind everything and expected that we could still be friends. (actually he didn't come to be friends with me again but taunt and ridicule me... days later he lost his job and I never saw him again.)

But yeah, try to keep contact with your friend somehow.
