From an entertainment standpoint, yes
From a technical standpoint, Comprehension (I think it's called) is the best, as you get two skill points per skill book instead of one

Eugh...practically useless, seeing as the only animals really are Yao Guai and Dogs, and both are relatively rare

I agree, comprehension rocks. Also intensive training was great. I got Agility, Intelligence, Perception and Luck up to 9, and bobbleheaded them to 10. Then comprehension maxed out a lot of my stats. By the way, I was a person who was always in stealth mode with the laser weapon (Got the super laser rifle and the bionic upgrade from that one quest.) with awesome accuracy and boosted critical. Basically I head shotted everything with a sneak attack critical with laser weapons for a one hit kill.

I'm not saying Fallout 3 is a bad game. It's awesome. It's just not really Fallout.
Also, Interplay are making a Fallout MMO, so hopefully that will work out well.

Sorry to tell you, but it is. No matter how much you don't want to agree, it is. Much like no matter how much I want to say that the current Guns 'n Roses isn't GNR, it is. Can't really debate it, because it's a FACT. Besides, it's more of a real Fallout than Interplay's Brotherhood of Steel (the one that showed up on consoles). Don't go sucking Interplay's balls just yet; they've made worse Fallouts than Bethesda (whoopee for one) has at this point.

Also, Interplay has been handed a lawsuit because they're not holding up their end of the bargain with that Fallout MMO (zero progress when they were supposed to have at least started).
