An Epic Legend 2: Fall of the Phoenix

Many Years Ago their was a peaceful Human nation by the Name of Freedlum.  Freedlum had a minimal army but boasted a very large population.  One Cloudy day a Man by the Name of Pyrix Flameswath along with his nine Powerful Lords, marched into the Kings chamber and killed him right off his Throne.



There was a short lived rebellion.  Loyal soldiers to Freedlum fought hard, but were all slain by the pure Might of Pyrix and his Powerful Lords.

Pyrix Claimed Freedlum his own City and renamed it Phenroost.  This is the Beginning of The Phoenix Nation.

An Epic Legend 2: Fall of the Phoenix Information
Welcome to Epic Legend 2: Fall of the Phoenix
This is a Very Intense Linear Stage Driven Game.
It is Very Balanced and fairly hard.
You Must Choose one of 5 Main Heroes to Play through the Game. The Stages do Alter slightly depending on your Main Hero.
There are 11 Playable Characters Total.
There are 10 Story Stages(Including Sub-Stages), 2 Optional Stages and 1 Bonus Stage.
Mostly Custom-Made Graphics.
The Stages are very Heavily Scripted to create a very Action Packed Adventure.

The Phoenix Nation Army has been growing and gathering in Phenroost. Our Original Plan of Fighting through the Front Door isn’t looking as promising. We need to recruit other Nations Armies to Help. Nations to ask for Help: The Centaurs of Clan Stonehoof, The Sand Raiders of Sandalar, The Tuvians and The Mystic Brotherhood.

Bullseye:
Bullseye was born below the Earth in the Under-Depths.  A Seemingly endless sea of underground tunnels and caverns that possibly span the entire planet.  The Under-depths is home to all the evil demonic monstrosities that inhabit the world. Endless struggles of weaning power, clan rivalries and constant Combat are daily routine down in the darkness.

Bullseye is a Minotaur born into carnage and bloodshed.  At early ages he was abused and worked to the bone doing manual labor.  As he grew older he was used as a creature of war, ushered into hopeless brawls to fight enemies of his captures and forced to fight for his life on a daily basis.  Normally creatures of this nature are unleashed upon hopeless odds and usually slain.  But Bullseye was the exception to this rule.  He won every battle, fight and hostile encounter he had ever been in.   Through the years Bullseye was property of several different clans because even if the entire clan was killed in war Bullseye would still be left standing to be re-captured by the Victors.

   As Bullseye began to mature and reach his full size and power he became increasingly difficult to control.  It would take several dozen creatures to subdue him sustaining heavy casualties.  Not much later Bullseye broke free of his prison and went on an unstoppable rampage slaughtering every last one of his Captures.  A powerful Hatred of Demons burned within him.  For the next several Months Bullseye traveled the Under-Depths unmercifully slaughtering any demon or Monstrous creature he encountered including several entire clans.

   Bullseye eventually found a tunnel that lead to the surface world.  The light of the sun burned his eyes but this just fueled his rage filled desires.  He traveled the surface world in search of someone or something that could present a challenge to him.  He traveled so far in unfamiliar lands that he lost his way and couldn’t find his way back to the Tunnel.

   One day during his travels through bonebranch swamp he encountered Krob, the Master of Random Things.  Krob proved himself in combat to Bullseye.  Krob then trained Bullseye.  Bullseye was taught how to fight with more than just Brute force.  Krob also taught him to speak common, the most frequently used language of the Top-World.  Bullseye’s Demonic name was “Bujch’ukru”. When Bullseye learned common he wanted to shed any relation to the Demons so he renamed himself to something more fitting. When his training was Complete Krob gave him a Special Mission to Defeat 4 Powerful Demons and Capture their Souls in a magical piece of metal.  Not only would this complete Bullseye’s Training but also it would fuel his lust for carnage.

   Bullseye found and slayed each Demon, capturing their souls into the magical Steel prison.  Bullseye returned from his Mighty Trial to find Krob with some other warriors.  A New test of might has come forth, forcing the most powerful warriors in the land to once again prove their Might.  The Phoenix nation must be stopped at all costs!

Weapons: His Fists or 2-Handed Axes/Maces

Farnsworth:
Farnsworth is a Human who always excelled at Magic.  Through his childhood he was always second place.  When he did well, someone always did better.  Fed up he decided to travel the world in an attempt to better himself.  One day while traveling through Bonebranch Swamp he was ambushed and greatly wounded but Krob Showed up in the knick of time to save him.  Krob took him in and helped Train him to further develop his Earth Magic.  Farnsworth soon was able to Manipulate and Control Earth far better than he ever imagined possible.  Months after leaving Krob a freak accident occurred.  A Large Boulder fell and crushed his Body.  In a Last Desperate Attempt Farnsworth managed to move his Mind and Soul from his Crushed Body to a Bunch of Boulders.  Now Farnsworth resembles more of a Golem, although his Magical potential is just as powerful.  He Must Communicate Telepathically now.

Weapons: Rock Fists. Farnsworth can also Mentally Link with Items to Gain Their bonus’s. Also Uses Earth Magic.

Ekrix:
Ekrix is a Human.  His Father was part of the Mystic Brotherhood, a Brother of Shadow.  Although he fell in love with an outsider, someone not of the Brotherhood, and was banned forever.  Growing up Ekrix always heard Stories of the Brotherhood.  One day he would bring justice to his Fathers Name.  Ekrix’s Parents died in a mysterious fire. From that day on he decided to dedicate himself to becoming a master of the Shadow Arts while fighting for good.  He heard rumors of the Frog Hermit and managed to Track him down. Krob agreed to Train him.

Weapons: Mostly One Handed Weapons and Caster Related Gear. Uses Death Magic

Drooganaf:
Drooganaf is a Blue Dragonkin.  Born part Dragon part Human Drooganaf was always Rejected by his Fellow Dragons.  Drooganaf left his Home hoping to find a place to fit in.  Traveling from place to place, he was never accepted.  Clearly his Monstrous Looks caused people to jump to conclusions.  Although under his Armored Exterior Drooganaf has a Large Heart and a Will todo Good.  Drooganaf met Krob Many Years ago in his Home land.  Krob told him “Seek me out when you are in your Darkest Hour, when doubt creeps into your Mind. I will Bring the Light.”  Drooganaf at the time didn’t understand this.  But one day while trying to save some children from orcs he failed and the villagers blamed him for the Deaths.  This event weighed so heavily on his mind until he remembered what some Weird Frog-Man said to him. Eventually he found Krob and was Trained.

Weapons:  Heavy Armors and Shields with Swords or Maces. Can use claws and Breathe Attacks.

Trun’eth Sil’dar:
An Elf of True Mystery.  Elves are not a very common sight these days. Apparently he’s known Krob for a Long Time. Trun'eth is an Assassin.

Weapons: Prefers the Use of Daggers and Nature Magic.

The Brother Axe’s



RockJohn Axe was born in the Mountain City of Rahldune. His Father was the Great Muldroy Axe, Captain of the Axe Brigades.  RockJohn had a brother named Axeton Von Axe.  Axeton is about 4 Human Years older than Rockjohn.

One Stormy day when RockJohn was a small Dwarfling a terrible tragedy occurred. The Entire Mountain City broke apart due to water build up and several Weak points in the Masonry. (note: there was a large battle that took place 4 days prior to the storm. Catapults had dealt a lot of damage to the Mountain City which caused the weakness).  During the Chaos inside the Mountain, Rockjohn and Several other Dwarves fell through the floor plummeting into some kind of Underground River.  Axeton jumped in after RockJohn and saved him from Drowning. The two washed up on a Riverbed in just enough time to see their entire Mountain Home crumble in upon itself.

The Two Brothers survived for Several Months afterward mostly living off berries or fruit or wild animal.  Several times they found Deer, what a good meal that was.  The Two traveled quite a distance before discovering a large Human City.  They stole many things here and there from the Humans, anything to help them survive.  The Humans caught onto this and trapped them in the Act.  The Two Brothers were brought to internment camps where they were used as Slaves to Mine Minerals.

The Two were poorly fed and worked to the Bone for almost a Year.  This kind of Controlled Torture created a deep hatred for Humans in Both of the Brothers.  One night a slave informed them of a plan to break out. The next day Fate shined on them.   The Slaves started a huge uproar against the guards.  Most of the Slaves were slain but the distraction was more than enough for Rockjohn, Axeton and several others to escape the Mine forever.

After traveling a safe distance all the Escapees stopped and rested.  It turns out two of them are from the same Crew aboard a Ship.  They extended an invitation to the Brothers who decided to go.  What else could they do with nothing but tattered Rags and empty Belly’s? They traveled for hours until finally coming upon the Ocean. Staring out from atop a large hill they could see The Ship in the Water.

The First thing the Brothers Noticed when boarding the boat was the lack of Humans.  The Crew was comprised off all sorts of creatures ranging from lizardmen to Orcs to Gnomes even!  Until now there were no Dwarves sadly. After some introductions with the crew the Captain came out of his Quarters.  He eyes the new Dwarves and laughs with his returned crewmembers.  The Captain welcomes the Dwarves and gives them credit for helping save some of his Crew.  The Captain explains to the Brothers that they are pirates but they have a special code of honor.  The World is Cruel and the gods have forsaken us.  The Captains words are not only convincing but also very understanding.  It was like he had a Golden Tongue Hidden behind his Blackened Teeth and knotted Beard.  His knowledge of the Outside world far surpassed anything the Brothers could even Dream.  Fueled by a newly found Anger and Hatred for the World, The Brothers Very Willingly Joined The Pirates.

The Brothers traveled the Seas for 5 Years with the Pirates.  They raided many port towns and fought dozens of battles against Militia and other Pirates.  Life at Sea was exciting, dangerous and demanding.  Rockjohn really felt like he earned his spot on the Boat.  Rockjohn and Axeton both decided to dedicate themselves to Mastering Axes in memory of their Father, Muldroy, Captain of the Axe Brigades.  Rockjohn also became extremely skilled with Muskets and other types of Gun-Powder Rifles while Axeton spent many hours working with the Steel smith crafting weapons and armor in the Belly of the Ship.

Another Year passes; it’s been a total of 6 with the Pirates now.  Rockjohn is no longer the Dwarfling he was when he first joined The Crew.  Growing Older and wiser Rockjohn started to Dream of a Different Life. Sure being a Pirate was fun and exhilarating but it just wasn’t him.  The Hatred and Anger dwelling inside him has long since been quelled by all the lives Taken and blood spilled.  Rockjohn and Axeton both agreed they have learned all they can here and it was time to Move on.  They explained it to the Captain who understood completely but was sad too lose some of his Best Mates.  The next time the Ship docked the Brothers took leave.

The Brothers looked at each other and tried to decide what to do now.  They both expressed interest in two completely different things.  Axeton wanted to return to where Rahldune was hoping that the City might be rebuilt, while Rockjohn didn’t want to go back.  He felt ashamed for letting his Hatred control his actions for so long.  That Night Rockjohn had a dream about his father and stories his father would tell him about when he Trained with The Brothers of Faith.  When Rockjohn Woke up his mind was already made up.  He told Axeton his plan about training with The Brothers of Faith and gave his farewells but not good byes.  Axeton headed to Rahldune while Rockjohn headed to Zenikal the Main City of the Brotherhood of Faith.

It took Rockjohn about 2 weeks to reach Zenikal.  When he arrived he quickly realized that this was a mostly Human City.  This had discouraged Rockjohn at first but he quickly learned that these were very kind people.  Apparently not all Humans are Heartless Monsters.  This was a Great Lesson to Rockjohn, one that he would never forget.  Rockjohn met with a High Priest and asked if he could Train.  At first the High priest was going to Deny the Dwarf but he noticed the Mark of the Axe Family on Rockjohn’s Arm.  The High Priest Spoke stories of his Father and his Great deeds as if he himself knew The Great Dwarf.

Rockjohn Trained with the Brothers of Faith for 12 long Years.  He spent countless days reading every book their grand library had to offer.  He trained endlessly to Master Holy Magic and its Divine Powers.  During which time he continued to Train with his Hand Axes and Muskets.  He learnt ways to keep a clear mind in the most hectic of situations and fully began to realize the Power of Life.  Rockjohn enjoyed Helping People, it made him feel right but he realized some people still deserved death, and this was a line he fully understood when to cross.

It’s been almost 20 long Years since Rockjohn’s entire world literally crumbled before him.  With his Training Nearing Completion Rockjohn’s mind has become increasingly cluttered with thoughts of his family, his brother and his Home or what’s left of it.  On his Last day the High Priest grants him a Sigil of Faith, proving his Mastery of the Holy Arts and his Alliance with the Brotherhood of Faith.  After Many Thanks and Praises Rockjohn was off onto Rahldune!

The Next several weeks seemed like the longest weeks of Rockjohn’s life.  Recognizing childhood memories along the way made Rockjohn even more excited. His pace quickened with each new sighting.  He rounded the last hill peering across the valley at the Mountain where Ralhdune used to be and very much to his surprise he saw a brand new Grand Entrance Way Carved into the Face of the not so large Mountain. An over-whelming feeling of happiness filled Rockjohn’s entire Body.  He didn’t stop running for a second, rushing the gate with every ounce of strength. Tears almost forming in his eyes as he neared the New Entrance way.

Rockjohn rushed through the entranceway.  The Guards didn’t even flinch because he was a Dwarf of coarse.  The Passages and Corridors were very different, the Layout completely redone.  Nothing was the way he remembered it.  A Great sadness filled his heart.  How would I ever find my Family?  After almost an hour of aimlessly wandering hoping for a familiar face or Shop he found nothing.  Just when he was about to give up and sit on a random bench what did he see?  A Familiar Dwarf banging away on an Anvil with a smithing hammer. It was Axeton; albeit a much older Axeton, but then again I guess even Rockjohn had changed greatly since their last time together.

Rockjohn rushed over and gave his brother a Hug.  Axeton instantly recognized Rockjohn and was happy beyond all belief.  For he had thought Rockjohn died many years ago.  The two brothers spend the next few hours catching up and swapping stories.  Axeton explains the fate of their Parents to Rockjohn.  Muldroy sacrificed his life to save hundreds of Dwarves and their mother died of an Illness about 2 Years ago.  News of his parents passing really dampened Rockjohn’s Spirit.  The two visited the statue the city built to Honor Muldroy’s Brave Sacrifice.  Then they visited their mothers Grave.  Rockjohn Realized he had nothing left here.  Nothing brought back memories and none of their friends or family survived that Tragic Day.

The two Brothers Decided together to Start a new Life away from the horrors of their past.  A Fresh beginning in new lands, nothing ever sounded better.  The two Packed Their bags that Night and Started Their New Journey to Their New Life.

After a few Years of Traveling the World Spreading good and Defeating Evil Rockjohn and Axeton Eventually Settled Down in a Friendly Human City.  Rockjohn opened up his own Bar/Ale House while Axeton opened his own Smithery.  These Goods times lasted for about a Year before a Warlord named Pyrix Flameswath came and took over the City.  He Slew the King right off the Throne and Claimed Kingship over the City.  He also renamed the City Phenroost.  There was a very short-lived Rebellion but the rebels were quickly slain.  This was the Beginning of the Phoenix Nation.  The Brothers didn’t care too much for Human Politics and went about their Lives as Usual.  Phenroost grew exponentially for several years and the Brother’s Business’s Prospered Greatly during this time.

A Dark Shadow Slowly crept over the land.  One day Several Phoenix Nation Soldiers arrive at Rockjohn's Bar and Axeton’s Smithery.  The Phoenix Lord Pyrix Flameswath has forthright banned All Dwarves and Lesser Creatures from The Phoenix Nation the Guards Explain.  The Brothers among several dozen other inhabitants were thrown out and unable to return.  Their Business’s Confiscated, heck they were barely able to grab their personal belongings before being ejected.

The Brothers stood outside Phenroost trying to decide what to do from here.  Little did they know they would soon meet a group of traveling heroes that would change things forever.  Soon they would be one of the Few People in the World Strong enough to Save it.

History of the World
[spoiler]The World is inhabited by Hundreds of Species of Creatures. For awhile it was good.  The Different Races learned to work together and Grow. But those Happy times didn’t last long.  The Time Lords have Watched over The World for Over 2000 Years. Here is some of the Major Events Recorded in the Logs of Time.


1950 Years ago – Darkness Started to grow in the land.  Corruption started to Grow amongst some of the Creatures.  This was the first Record of the Evil Smog.

1800 Years ago – As Time Passed Several Large Underground Caverns were discovered. We eventually learned that these Large Caverns Lead to what we call the “Under-Depths”. The Under-Depths are where its rumored most of the evil Creatures and demons first got to our lands.  The Under-Depths seem endless, and possibly span the Entire Planet.

1780 Years Ago – Mr. Hour Becomes a Time Lord.

1765 Years Ago – “The Mystic War” Began. This war began when a Human Nation tried to Force Slavery onto all Gnomes and Fairy’s. After about 3 months, the Fairy/Gnome army completely eradicated the Human Nation and claimed all their land as their own.  This happened just North of The Phoenix Hills in a place now called Razorwing Ridge, way up in the mountains.

1708 Years Ago – “The Horse War” Began.  This was a Major war that broke out between A Huge group of Humans and Centaurs.  Sparked by Several Trade and land disputes that could never be properly resolved, this war went on for over 2 Years until the Humans made a Sneaky Night Attack on the Centaur Tribes burning most of their Villages to the Ground.  The Centaur Tribes were forced to retreat and Flee for New Land.  Most of the Centaurs fled to the Southern Border of the Flame Skar and became the Stonehoof Clan.  The Remaining Centaur Fled North East to the Elf Lands.

1680 Years Ago – Many Ships arrived at the most Southern Shores. These ships carried Large Humans that called themselves “Tuvians”. These barbaric people attacked several small tribes of Humans and eventually settled in Near The Sandtide Dessert.

1679 Years Ago – A fairly large army of Humans that Lived in the Sandtide dessert eventually learned of the Tuvians and their farms/cities.  Feeling Threatened the “Sand Raiders” as most humans started to call them, attacked the Tuvians.  The Tuvians managed to defend their Village for 3 Straight days of raids and ambushes with minimal losses, while the Sand Raiders lost Significant forces. The Sand Raiders withdrew back to the Sandtide Dessert accepting the Tuvians Might.

1660 Years Ago – The Sand Raiders eventually Formed a City in the Sandtide Dessert.  They called it Sandalar. It attracted all sorts of Merchants and peoples. Sandalar Prospered and Grew exponentially for about 20 years.  A Human named Hazziz Shazzari became Grand Sultan of Sandalar. Sandalar Quickly became one of the Largest Cities on the Planet.

1660-1400 Years Ago – Mostly a Peaceful Time. Most Races just grew and evolved. No large battles took place. During this Time Hazziz Helped the Elves out with a Small Demon Problem and was rewarded with a Magical Liquid that would Grant him Extremely Long Life and strength.

1400 Years Ago – “The First Demon Coming” One day the entire Earth shook Violently as a Large hole cracked open. A Large army of Demons poured out.  The Demons destroyed several Human Villages around Sandtide Dessert Boarder.  The survivors fled to The Tuvian Cities.  The Demons eventually attacked the Tuvian Cities. Although aided by the Time Lords and the Stonehoof clan, it was still a losing Battle. Just when things couldn’t get any worse, an Army from Sandalar Arrived and turned the Tide of Battle.  The Demons were slain, although the Giant Hole in the Earth still remains.  It’s one of the more common passages into the Under-Depths.

1280 Years Ago – The Elves had a Magical Well called The Sha’ern Tal Well, which they kept hidden and secret.  The water from the Well granted Unnaturally Long life and strength.  One day several Humans discovered it and brought back some of the water to their King.  After its Secret was out many races came into the Elf lands demanding some of its Water.  The Elves Refused to share their Prized Liquid, which started many fights and battles.  Darkness started to corrupt the Elves Slowly.

1279 Years Ago – Pyrix Flameswath, a powerful Mercenary Knight, stole some of the Water from the Sha’ern Tal Well without the Elves Knowledge.

1278 Years Ago – “The Dark Elf War” Begins.  A Demon Army Attacked the Sha’ern Tal Well and managed to take it from the Elves.  The Elves Pled to the Other Races for Help but no one wanted to help the Selfish Elves. Benithous’s Family is Slain by Demons. He Joins The Time Lords and creates the Time Guard.

1277 Years Ago – The Sha’ern Tal Well started to become Corrupt because of the Demons.  The Corrupted Elves became so full of Hatred and Jealousy that they gathered up all corrupted Soldiers and attacked Sandalar.  The Battle was fierce and the Elves had almost Demonic Strength and Moral.  Hazziz decided to abandon Sandalar for the Time Being instead of losing all his People.  Hazziz Met up with the Elf Leader and Demanded Answers.  The Elf Leader explained how he has no control over the “Dark Elves”.  Word got out about the Dark Elves and a Plan was being formed.  The Sandalar Soldiers and the Remaining Elf Soldiers Gathered up with the Tuvians and the Stonehoof Centaurs and they went to Sandalar.  After a long Battle the Dark elves were slain and Sandalar Taken back by Hazziz.  The Army then charged the Corrupted Sha’ern Tal Well and although many soldiers died the Demons were Slain and the Well taken back.  As a Token of Thanks the Elf King Granted his Last Bottles of Uncorrupted Well Water to the Tuvians, Sandalarians and the Stonehoof Centaurs. Hazziz already having Drank the Immortal Waters, Gave his to his Highest ranking General Waheed, while the Tuvian’s King Braun drank his as well as the Stonehoof Leader Cha’loof.  The Elves said they will be able to uncorrupt the well, but it may take upwards of 1000 years.

938 Years Ago – Pyrix has a Son named Pyron.  Upon Birth he gives him some of the Magical Sha’ern Tal Well Water.

904 Years Ago – Pyrix and his strongest Warriors, Walked into a large peaceful Human Nation called Freedlum and killed the King right off his Throne, claiming kingship of the Nation.  Most of the Civilians rebelled against Pyrix and his Warriors, but were quickly slain.  The remaining rebels fled the City.  Pyrix’s Called his new City Phenroost.  This is the Start of the Phoenix Nation.

903 Years Ago – Pyrix Convinces his Brother Phyrus to join his Phoenix Nation.  At First Phyrus Declines, but not long after he decides to join. Pyrix gives him some of the Magical Well Water he stole a Long time ago.  Pyrix also gives some of this water to all his Elite Soldiers (Phoenix Lords)

902 Years Ago – Pyrix Has a Second City Build called Flamedon.  The Phoenix Nation has Grown Very Large by now and is a Very Feared Force in the World.

901 Years Ago – An Epic Legend 2 Begins.

780 Years Ago – Segmond becomes a Time Lord.

559 Years Ago – 3 Powerful Demon Magi, which we later learned was the Dark Counsel attacked the Magic Sha’ern Tal Well.  The Magi killed all the guards and stole all the remaining Water. The Time Lords along with a Small Force of Time Guards Arrived, but just a little to late. The Magi had Destroyed the Sha’ern Tal Well completely. After a Tough battle all the Time Guard were slain except for Benithous. Time Lords were Wounded in the fight.  The Dark Counsel Fled with their Prize.

559 Years Ago – Father Time New what the Dark Counsel was up too.  He could sense Spreading Darkness… Something powerful was coming.  The Time Lords summoned 4 Powerful Heroes of Time to help Defend against this New Threat. Tymus and Lina Feather were two of those Summoned Heroes.

558 Years Ago – The Time Heroes Train awaiting The Threat.

550 Years Ago -  “The Great Demon War” Father Time Senses the Demon Lords Arrival.  All Time Guard, Time Lords and Time Heroes Head to Earth and prepare to Fight The Demon Lord and his Demon Armies.  The Armies battle it out for a long time. Two Time Heroes and a Time Lord are slain.  Lina Sacrifices herself to Severely Wound the Demon Lord.  The Demon Lord is eventually Slain Afterwards.  Most of the Demons and Time Guard were slain in the Battle. The Darkness over the Land subsides a bit. Tymus Becomes a Time Lord.

220 Years Ago – Benithous Has a Son Named Thalithous.

50 Years Ago – The Darkness starts to Creep back into the Land.  Father Time Senses Great Evil.

19 Years Ago - Thalithous Has a Son Named Skilithous

Present – An Epic Legend 1 Begins. 4 New Time Heroes are Summoned to Help Defend all of Time from the New Dark Threats.

I like how this is coming along, much better than the firs Epic Legend. Ofcourse your first game is always lacking in some regard. I like the look of the map, look's a like a fun experiance. Also Farnsworth? XD Like the old professor in Futurama, or is that a coinsidence? In any case, keep up the good work my freind. I'm looking forward to to truing this out.

Well with all the over-whelming interest in my game, ive decided to slightly expand(Information-wise) on the general style of the game itself.

The Events that take place in this game are a small sliver of the entire history of my world. Unlikely Chosen Heroes defeat the Phoenix Nation which is why this game isnt huge story driven. Its about Fun and Action with a sprinkle of Challenge.

Its a 50/50 mix of ABS and classic Active turned based Combat. Pressing enter on Most enemies on the Map to strike them down. Although certain enemies and areas will force you into the turn based combat. Stages are heavily scripted and have a ton of enemies to hack your way through, traps to avoid, secrets, bosses and Over-the-Top Insanity.

Boss fights will also be a 50/50 mix also. Most boss fights work through intensely scripted events. for example, one boss creates stone walls to block/trap you then fires shockwaves or another that spawns slaves to open wolf cages!

Again ive been working like mad on many different Custom Art, from random things to corpses to charsets and battle animations.  The stages flow at a pretty fast pace with lots of enemies, explosions and insanity.  The Game is Very fun, but rather challenging.

Ive completed quite alot but it will still be bit before i release the Demo.

ABS+DBS will never work.Chose one of the other. Trust me I've thought about this same thing before and it just looks weird and confuses players. If you have a good ABS, run with that. If not, battles should be DBS.

I pull it off properly and have a healthy mix, trust me fish, its very fun

The ABS isnt all extra, no spells etc, just run up and press enter to kill them before they kill you.

Very straight forward and quick. But the Battle animations are what make it really awesome. Ill show you that in some upcoming screen shots.

When you said this, I actually thought that you had a custom battle system that involved elements of both ABS and DBS. That would have been awesome...

But yeah, keeping them seperatly like that and just switching between the two isn't really called "mixing". Like everyone else said, pick one type of a battle system, and use only that.

Havent Updated in awhile, thought i would throw some new screens out. Ive been working pretty solid on this. As you get deeper into the game it becomes less ABS oriented and more into the turn based style of combat.  Also the playable characters differ slightly from the information i have posted. I will update this information soon.

Here is when you attack a unit on the Map. It shows an attack animation and kills the unit.


Some enemies will bring you into the classic style of combat.  The game gets more and more focused on this style of combat as you progress.
