Well, don't bother with it. If you have your own beleifs, don't let t bug you. People can be very stupid. These are types of Christians I call "Pseudo-Christians". Basically, they have no idea what they're talking about. They only read maybe some of the old testament and slightly more than the new, if you actually question them on less talked about books of the bible, they can't answer you. It's a family problem really, not a religious problem

X, I am deeply sorry for the position you are in. I cannot say I have ever been in a similar position. This can be attributed to two reasons. First of all, I grew up in a family that let me make all of my own decisions, for better or for worse. I am not, and never have been bound to any kind of strict moral code. Secondly, I have learned, over time, that the best way to cope with not being accepted by your peers (or in your case, your family) can be put into three words. "I don't care." I live by that code, and its worked pretty damn well so far.

I think the biggest bullshit about christianity is the whole "believe in god or go to hell". So people who don't follow religion, but never "sin" or anything like that, still get sent to hell. Anyway, I'm an athiest, so none of this affects me.
