time travel
I'm just going to have floating narrative sentences upon entering each screen, being purposefully ambiguous as to what exactly happened.
... Braid?
So...I've been running through this idea in my head, and everyone I've asked said that it's brilliant.I'm wanting to make it, but I'm needing some people to help, mainly in the graphics department.So...here's the concept:Time Travelling puzzle game. Not in the Reverse Timeline vein at all, more like jumping in-between eras.In case that's hard to understand, think this:There's a ledge you need to get past. So, you jump back in time, and find a seed. You plant the seed, and go back to the "present", and see a sapling.Go back into the future, and there's a tree.Climb the tree, achieve goal.Anyone have any suggestions for graphics style/want to jump in?Oh, it's going to be a platformer.
Ellie: I had a slice of ham in my hand. I was going to drop it, so I slapped it hard. It attached itself to the wall
You look like my grandmother.edit: when she was young. You don't look like you're 80.
Last night I had a dream that Zerlina and I were pirates. It was... beautiful.
No, but seriously, good idea You should try playing Sunset over Imdahl- they used time travel really well in that, and I think it was RM from what I remember.
Myst rocks. But on a note closer to the topic, I think that if you do it well enough it doesn't really matter how common time travel is in video games.
