The new item was the New Super Mario bros. Penguin suit. If you dashed forward or backward and clicked the A button you started to glide like they do in the game. And pressing the A button normally unleashed the ice balls that would freeze with the same possibilities as Ice climbers.
So it was basically a fire flower that shoot ice balls and made your running attack an endless dash like that devil Piplup.
