Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter

Why Capcom... why?

Seconded. Everything the series had great about it; destroyed in one fell-swoop.

Saw Heavy Rain mentioned: Great game (For a rent of course.), besides the ocasional plot-holes, which are hard to avoid in a game that is 98% story, the game has a jaw-dropping presentation, suspenseful tale, and great characters. If you have a PS3, rent this game.

Demon's Souls was fun; it had it's flaws, and at too many times I thought the game was just TOO difficult. I played the game in an extraordinarily cheap fashion; and still way to often was the game just STRAIGHT-UP ****ing cruel. That being said, I was DAMN proud of myself after every boss fight, and at the end, I actually pat myself on the back.

Uncharted 2: You people are just going to argue with me because the games popular. I know you people.

Star Ocean 4: Great if you like a GIGANTIC-****ing-STEP-BACKWARDS from Star Ocean 3.

Not far in Final Fantasy XIII yet; but it seems pretty good. All the things you people didn't like about X is there amplified though, so I feel like preaching this one is a lost cause. I know you people.

Xenogears:
Second disc killed any good thoughts about this game.

Yeah but that first disc kicked major ***.
My memory is bad so lets see latest games that have dissapointed me lately.
Well I didn't even play the new Final Fantays and it dissapointed me by just being made.
I do remember Final Fantasy Tactics for the gameboy was utter crap.
The one for PS 1 was better.
But looking back alot of graphics for the Ps1 now dissapoint me like Tekken *shiver*

I remembered Starfox for N64 having amazing graphics. Played it again and it looked nothing like I remembered. It's funny the way our minds do that.

Yeah, that happened to me with FF7. I could barely stand to look at the characters' blocky bodies.

Never happens to me. I tend to be very good at ignoring graphical faults and at admiring what was possible with the tech at the time.

Same here. I certainly notice the difference, but it doesn't bother me to the point where I just can't play. And mostly it doesn't bother me at all. Graphics don't make the game (though there are some exception where graphics come highly into play).
I mean, I still enjoy Zelda 1 and everyone knows what the graphics look like.

That is why it is always best to remember things in a great way and never ever play or watch them again.
Because that memory of them is ruined once you go back.

As a kid I thought The Lion King was the best movie ever.
When I watch it now, I still think the same thing.

Some things just remain awesome when you grow up.
EX: Animaniacs... Or, hell, any cartoon Steven Speilberg did in the 90's. And Batman:TAS. I still love that cartoon.

A good example for me is Illusion of Gaia as a kid I loved that game I have not replayed it but watched a youtube video and the translation is terrible and everything is spelled wrong.
So I choose to keep it sealed as a nice memory.
Sometimes I regret watching the Nostalgia Critic because he reviews reminds me of what I liked as a kid that now I can't stand.

I seriously can't believe that! That game was epic and totally awesome. Now the sequel, I saw it, watched my bro play it for a while and that was enough of that excuse for a game that contained so many ****ing cut scenes it was retarded.

Hells yeah 100% agreement there. X-men  was killer too.

I wonder if anyone here remembers the cartoon of Conan The Adventurer?
I found the DVDs on a site and dl them it was a pretty wicked show. I'd even say
very Dnd esc like conan comics are.

I've been playing 7 again this week and I'm actually fairly impressed with some of the graphical things they do. There are a lot of cutscenes where there's FMV-ish things going on but you can actually still move your character around. You don't see that in a lot of games.
