Hard to believe but I agree with Val. It wasn't good, but in theory and storywise (down to basics), it was better than Avatar.

That's it, that's the definition. The other stuff listed were not of all ninjas and shinobi. It depended on where they lived and WHO they worked for. Ninja could merely be hired to defend rather than kill, to just spy and not kill. They could kill if they were ordered, but they were under a wage to follow orders. Not really defending the turtles, which in fact are awesome, but defending the type of fighter I most hate.
