Well, I mean, getting to do what you love and teach others and such. I sorta do the latter but not getting much support in the former by official sources.

Totally hijacking your topic. Sorry, bro.
I just got my scholarship offer. $1,030/quarter. And that's just band! Right now, I'm looking at only $2,400/year out-of-pocket!

That's probably the only good thing about Louisiana. Governor Jindal
Not taking that money crap from Obama. Mmm... Way to go, Jindal

Tuition alone is $1,550/quarter, which isn't bad to begin with. But when you addEnergy fees, technology fees, annual fees, books, room and board, and meals, it's (roughly) $4,059/quarter.
So, that number multiplied by 3.
$12,177/year.
Keep in mind, this IS Louisiana.
Also keep in mind that this is one of the top engineering schools in the country for the price you pay.
Of course, I'm not going for that. I'm going because they have the amazing Lawrence Gibbs. Seriously, listen to this guy play and you want to kill yourself because you're nowhere near as awesome as him. He's a pretty cool guy

University life is fun, get involved in cool student groups. Also, if you qualify: Look into financial aid. I'm poor, and my family is poor, so Mr. Obama sends me at least $5000 a semester in grants, on top KU grants, which is about $2000 depending on how soon you turn in your forms. Money for nothing, schoolin' for free.
Off-topic: Engineers suck.

Yea, I don't qualify for grants.
However, I DO qualify for low-interest student loans :/

I didn't get anything back yet because we were part of the 1/3 of all applicants that were "randomly chosen* to prove their financial status. Bleh.
