En masse it is.
Hence why there's going to be a Transformers 3, despite the fact that it was almost universally hated.

They changed Aang's name pronounciation. Instead of what it normally is, its pronounced "ong." Shamallamalom or whatever says it was to be more Asian. Really...cause then he should've hired less Caucasians....

Not just that, it's also "So-kuh" instead of Sokka and "Uh-vuh-tar" instead of Avatar, according to interviews. "Iroh" is "Eer-oh." He says he did it because he's sooo respectful of other cultures, not like those ignorant whiteys who CREATED THESE CHARACTERS.

Oh, and unlike in the show, firebenders need a source to bend; they can't just produce fire on their own. He said he did it because it would be more of an impact in the third film when the comet enhances firebending to the point where they can produce fire without a source. But joke's on him! There's probably won't even be any more films!

You know Paramount. They'll make sequels for everything.

I had a bad feeling since I heard the words "M. Night Shabamaladabamamatamaomamadabam" tied in with the movie. He hasn't made a decent film since 'Signs'.

He can claim being a huge fan of Avatar all he wants, but even if he was a good movie-maker, he'd have the astronomical demands of the fandom to compete with. Really, he put a huge noose on his bleeding neck. Good thing I'm not really a fan of Avatar (don't have cable TV).

Wait long enough and you can get the movie for that much at a yard sale.

Racebending, Zerlina? I was going to protest, but someone has to go see it and say how sucky it is.

Indeed.

I read that Shyamalan's daughter (who is, of course, dark-skinned like he is) loves Katara and dressed up as her for Halloween because she loved that she looked like her. And then Daddy goes and casts Katara as a white girl. Way to give a big "screw you" to your own daughter, Shyam.

At least it's a small consolation that he didn't ACTUALLY use Jessy McCartney for Zuko.
I'm pretty sure theaters would have been burned down in that case.

I just watched it.  I am pretty sure that Avatar was pretty much pronounced Avatar...

Personally, I thought it was okay.  The problem is that I didn't see much of the series.  I saw about 15 episodes max.  Although, some of my friends (well... 15/20 that went to see it tonight) were very angry by the time the end came around.  So... =/

This is why the internet exists. To see these sh**y movies ruin a great show without paying online.

The dialogue was HORRIBLE, the story was RUSHED liked I've never seen before, okay.. more like it was sequenced wrong. The script was SO MEDIOCRE. And the actors, THE DAMN ACTORS. THE FUGGING ACTORS. There was no personality on the main cast. The only characters I liked was Iroh (i think it was the only one that shined even if he wasn't fat), the firelord and actually I did kind of enjoyed Zuko. But the other NOOBS had no personality in the characters. THEY WEREN"T CHALLENGED WITH THE STUPID SCRIPT THEY WERE GIVEN. /rage

I loved the effects, but I am sadden that nothing else made up for it. The pronunciations were a pain to hear too. I facepalmed more than five times.

What HTML said. Was I the only person who thought the scenes were all five seconds?

Also: "We must go to the Northern Water Tribe which is ruled by a princess because her father died." Lol much?
