ASUS makes a nice machine
An inexpensive model you can get with some quality is ACER netbooks; good for rudimentary computer stuffs, but not much beyond that (heck, I get slight control lag when I play Cave Story on it.) Probably does fine with RPGMaker, and it is very compact. Never had any problems with mine. For security, I'd recommend A squared for antivirus (Maybe MSE could do you better, as A-squared requires you to scan manually, and can take a while to clear a scan, but it is THOROUGH), and perhaps Spybot to back that up for spyware and malware. Both are completely free off the net.
Rpg maker doesn't work on a Mac correct?
Does anything work on a Mac?
It's more than likely to work, RPG maker isn't exactly a demanding program.
But it got lots of things that can go wrong.
