The Third Charas sprite off - Round three!

Okay, so, winners from the last round, Prpl_Mage and Valiere! As if everyone didn't see it coming. Okay, so, guys, good job, this is the last round now, try hard, and make us some badass sprites, I wanna see a good fight here!
So, this round! Facesets. Yep! Pick a character. Any character. At all. And then make 8 different expressions for it. These are:
1- Normal face
2- Happy
3- Sad
4- Angry
5- Confused
6- Really happy
7- Really angry
8- Anything you wish

So, thats it. 8 pictures. No more, no less. RPG Maker 2k3 size, of course. No limitations other than it must fit in a template and work in RPG Maker.

It's a tough choice. Val's is graphically superior, but is of something nobody would ever really need, would be harder to edit, and has many expressions that are very similar. Also, is that monkey wearing glasses? That's weird. Prpl's is simpler, but more practical for actual use in a game and wouldn't be terrible hard to edit the face for to keep the expressions.

Gunna need to think about this one.

Ohhh, good thing I look at this. At first, those blue... nasal things... looked like its eyes. But now I get it.

I'm still pretty divided. Val's is clearly better, but that's what doesn't work. I've been discouraged because I used a higher quality faceset while the interfaces to my custom systems were nowhere near as good. Only made me feel down on my own skills.

And like Sai said, Purps' would be much easier to "mold" into your own character.
