I don't remember if it was in the 90's (and if it was, it was probably in 1999 since that's when it came out in English) but the TV series of Redwall was something I liked, and that's when I came to know its existence. Yeah, I knew the series before the book, I'm sorry...

Excuse the slight topic kick, but I just wanted to note that I found it extremely strange that I somehow KNEW that was the song your Youtube link was going bring up. I didn't know in advance, either. Aye, the 90's was the best. Donkey Kong Country anyone? Super Mario World? Of course, the greatest Pokemon Games (RBY and GSC), Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles (technically late 80's, early 90's)

Not to mention some of the best and most diverse music in history. Nirvana, Green Day, Our Lady Peace, Bad Religion, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and soo much more (and I know, I only listed rock, but that's all I really listen to)

Just because the mainstream is shitty doesn't mean good music isn't consistently being made. Pretty sure most periods have had their shitty mainstream music.
