New/Improved Features:

    Trading with villagers has been updated
    Villagers can now trade 2 items with you (e.g. 1 emerald 10 gravel -> 10 flint)
    Enchantment system has been re-balanced
    A full enchantment table set with bookshelves doesn't go up to 50, but 30
    At the bottom of the 3 enchantments it always shows you the highest number possible
    Using level 30 you have a lot more luck; almost all items get at least 2 enchantments
    Emerald Ore can be found underground again (only in Extreme Mountain Biomes still)
    Added Tripwire Hooks
    Added potions to the creative inventory; found under brewing
    Added Block of Emerald
    Added delete item, armor and crafting to survival inventory when in creative
    Pausing should work in single-player now
    Some minor terrain changes
    Added an "adventure" game mode (/gamemode 2)
    - You cannot break or place any blocks
    - You can interact with any blocks like doors and levers and you can buy things from villagers
    Added cobblestone and stonebrick monster eggs to the creative inventory

I've been playing this a lot recently. I run a server from my laptop that my friends and I play on, but it's not on all the time. I'm on the lookout for minecraft buddies and/or nice servers so hit me up. I have a few of you dudes on Steam, I'm "aardfish" on there if you're interested.

Oh yea. Well, minecraft came out around 2009 -2008 really.
People were just getting addicted to HD. It got big around the HD time, which I consider 10-11
So yea. Everyone hated on it.

Story time. Ok, a few friends and I were playing Minecraft (about ten minutes ago, in fact). We had gone mining. After about an hour, we find some gold ore. Upon digging it out, we see a Nether Portal block. Not part of a Portal frame or anything, just a single purple, swirly portal block. Weird, right? I volunteered to test it, and it actually still worked. Came out at a normal portal in the Nether and everything. It teleported me safely back, too. We tried to see if we could get the other gold ore blocks surrounding it, but alas, the portal broke.

This is not the end of the odd story.

After digging about two blocks deeper into the wall, we found a chest buried in the stone. Highly unusual, right? Even more unusual, it had a stack of 64 sticky pistons. Starting to look real fishy, right? We dig around some more, and we stumble upon another single portal block. We destroyed it by accident while trying to get close enough to try using it, but we found another buried chest.

Ready for the hard-to-believe part?

We open the chest to find a shitton of chain armor in all pieces in stacks of varying numbers. That stuff isn't even available in survival.

This is a new, vanilla server, with only our select group of people ever stepping foot in it, with no cheaters, no hacks, nothing. We have no idea.

Mostly because my game is full of custom stuff, and if I update it I'll likely lose it all. :/

You know, lack of interesting events and emptiness is what made Minecraft less interesting for me.

I've seen Strongholds and it's just a large, empty underground castle full of emptiness. Same with abandoned shafts.
Oh, sure, a chest here and there once in a while, but that's all. I'd like to see NPC's mining, whether human or undead, whatever. Or Herobrine popping in your face in dungeon, then slowly backing off and vanishing. Things like that would actually make Minecraft interesting.
Bosses would be really nice, too. And rare objects like what you can find in Terraria.

Oh and, it would also be pretty nice if Minecraft could be played without melting my laptop. I mean... more demanding games play smoother than this one.

NPC interactions seem to be on the rise, and I think something about more boss-like monsters? I don't know. Either way, it's slowly becoming more than a 3D Lego game.
