CHARAS DARE

Starts Tuesday, November 1st, 12pm PST
Current Theme: Engineering, with 2 and a half votes

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really, really bored.
So, to liven things up a bit, let's have...a contest!

Charas Dare 48!
Or 72, if you guys feel that 48 hours isn't enough. (I did)

Basically, make a game in 72 hours, based around a theme, which we will choose...NOW.
Considering that we want to do this, of course.

RULES

You have 72 hours to complete a game.
You may use any game maker of your choosing.
At the end of 72 hours, you submit your game and the source project to the forum. Then we spend a while playing and completing each game, and then judge them.
In the maker of your choice, you may NOT use pre-built systems. You must program most everything by hand.
Everyone is a judge.

Winner will get a medal. The two runner ups will, as well.

This sounds interesting, but the thread title made me suspect a bot post.

As long as we get to know when the time starts it's cool. Otherwise it might happen when it's a bad time and we miss it entirely.

I'd say engineering. Always fun. And it won't be long or anything.

Charas isn't really good at planned and prepared Game making contests, so it had to be expected when it is like a sudden, 2 days only contest.

Ah, Charas...

Well, I'm afraid I'll be part of those not making it fun. I already was too uncreative to create anything while I had unlimited free time, and now that this isn't the case anymore (as of today) I doubt I'd come up with something.

I'd love to see this work, though, and hope it actually will... but to be honest, I don't have much faith.

Let us wait and see...
