Mother Theresa and George Bush are both Christians but we can't claim that she would've done the same choices that he did.
A woman obsessed with making other people suffer like Christ suffered on the cross. Do your homework on Mother Theresa, I hate George Bush but goddamn he's the better choice in this one.
I never said she was the most huggable woman in the world, point was that two christians don't think the same. And those two don't. It's about overlapping circles, not one big circle shared by all.
But atheists are usually much nicer than the so called "Christians".
I general I'd say I agree 98% with Grandy's post above.
I'm going to guess that nobody ever beat you up at school at school for being an atheist. So, in MY personal experience, 'Christians' are much worse people.
So, today, this girl I know from dA posted on the forum about how hard it is to deal with her father's death*?
Ellie: I had a slice of ham in my hand. I was going to drop it, so I slapped it hard. It attached itself to the wall
How mature.Anyway, just gonna say this before anyone else does. The reason why so many young atheists (and I will include myself in that group) feel the need to be so vocal about their faiths. They have been raised in societies where not being religious is just not a choice they had. Everyone prays, everyone goes to church, and all non believers burn in hell. And then one day they wake up, find out they don't believe in any of that, and realize that there is no hell waiting for them and that god did not burn down their houses. And you know, with that comes a great deal of freedom. You actually become allowed to think about whatever you want without fear of eternal otherworldly punishment, and that's awesome. And well, you suddenly know that you just have to spread the word, because it is really good to you, it is good to all your new atheist friends, you got no more reason to hate gays, atheists and other religions, there is no hell, you don't wake up at 6 to go to church and listen to a guy who is probably a pedo trying to teach you about morals... You just get happy with all that, and like I said before, not giving people the choice to be happy is kind of being a dick. I myself have known ex-Christians who hated it (and me) when I tried to convert them and they got pretty mad, but once they changed their minds, they spent pretty much whole days talking about how much religion sucks and how much lack of faith rocks. And then after a few months they calm down and are ready to become productive members of society again. I think the whole "I hate religion" thing is fine to do with your friends to get the steam out, but thing is, lots of those newly converted people decide to go on youtube or the internet in general to do that, and in turn, give atheists a bad name.Really, fruck only thinks that I'm that kind of atheist because he's my friend and I talk about things like this with him all the time. But I never go out of my way to troll youtubers or attack Christian sites. I only try to convert people I care for.
