Jack's Sweet Nightmare

Story: It's Holloween Night and all are out enjoying it, but not so much as a Jack-O-Lantern (IE Ed's Panty Patch-Eye wearing Pumpkin Head) but as he's setting out to trick or treat? Suddenly a Turnip headed fellow appears and denouces Jack as a fraud and thief since Jack-O-Lanterns were originally made out of Turnips.  He curses all the children in Charas to turn into demons and lose their souls if Jack doesn't meet him by midnight for a battle to determine, once and for all, who is the true symbol of All Hollows Eve.

Gameplay:
Explore the randomly generated maps using Jack in a traditional RPG Hero exploration method but as a bonus battles will not earn you money. Only collecting Holloween Candy will. But there's a catch: Each room you enter will spawn candy in a random amount and a timer will run. When it runs out several nasty Ghouls will appear and if they touch you? It's game over. Most scary part? No save point! In addition? You can only recruit three other party members to assist you but in order to unlock them you must gather a certain amount of Candy and bring it to the Shop Husk before exiting the room and he doesn't always appear twice per the same room. In short it combines Momeka's Spy GB Hack, Purps Pancea Quest and my own strange imagination then blends them into a traditional RPG.

Playable Characters:
Jack and three other cameos you must buy at location to unlock. Here's a hint. I'm not one for once! O.o Seriously real hints:

I was every-so-slightly working on a horror game a few months ago... I'm ultra busy this month with travel, but if I get some free time maybe I'll get back to it.

And guys, it doesn't have to be horror games if you don't want too. Just make something with a spooky theme.

Thanks man. I've been trying to learn how to make shorter more condensed  games recently. I think I'm starting to finally get the grasp of how to do it without losing any content too. I'm so tired of working years on a project and then having zip to show for it. From now on all my projects will be given this treatment.

I had a shitty horror-themed dungeon in one of my old games. Maybe I'll bring out that dusty game and post just the spooky part.

Yeah, no time limit has been set. But it would be nice if they were out around Halloween (or next years Halloween).

Not really sure where I'm going with the game, but we'll see. Thinking of doing a cbs but probably not even going to go there, don't want this project to take too long.
